Martha was upset over all the work she had to do, so she came and said "Lord, don`t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her to come and help me!" Si vede abbandonata da tutti, famiglia, chiesa, amici, nemici... e nei momenti piu` critici della sua vita.
Delusioni e poi delusioni. Li` dove credeva di poter trovare sostanza, amore, gioia, serenita`, vi trova invece orgoglio, voglia di aiutare il nemico infernale, calci che le si danno alle spalle, gelosie e ingordizie.
Una storia, una vita che solo Dante potrebbe descrivere, mettendo tutti questi esseri che lei incontra in questi suoi anni di maturi nell`infimo dell`Inferno, nel buio senza luce alcuna, tra serpenti e leoni feroci, tra tigri e orsi affamati.
Il nemico li ammalia e loro ci credono, ed lei soffro, tanto, tanto. Il mio cuore e` molto debole. I miei occhi non hanno piu` lacrime da piangere. I miei piedi sono stanchi e vogliono riposare. Ma lei cammina, guido e guardo il cielo. E` la mia unica consolazione.
