The following is a letter from my technician. I will be making a webpage to link to explaining your companies foulness and judging from the reviews on Pricewatch.com, you answered every negative review with the same basic answer.
Dear sir or ma'am,
My name is Joel Hooper, and i am an A+ certified technician. I also have my Network+, and i do have to say that you have treated my client, Shawn Werner, with great dishonesty. This laptop he currently owns does not take the Pentium-4 Mobile processor (Pentium 4M), but takes the older northwood core P4 series which is in fact the exact same processor in desktops of that era. The processor you sent us is infact this type, which is why i instructed him to order it. The processor you sent is an exact duplicate of a Pentium 4 Northwood core that i personally tested before instructing Shawn to buy his own processor from your company. Upon placing the processor you sent my client into his laptop, the computer would simply not boot. Upon lowering the processors desired speed in bios, i was able to boot it successfully @ 1.8ghz, but it froze upon bootup. I tried this processor in another laptop, and also in a desktop that had a P4 2.4ghz northwood in it previously, both with the same FSB speed, and core type (northwood). Upon these tests i encountered the same issues. I have a functional 2.4ghz socket 478 northwood core (desktop type, not mobile) in my possession and i tested this in his laptop, and it booted successfully @ 2.4ghz, so why didnt yours? The processor i tested also had the exact same voltage as the processor you sent my client, so please do not use that as an excuse. These are both well tested, fully functional boxes that i tested your processor in, and it worked in none of them. The processor you sent my client is a defective processor, and i am demanding a refund in full, with no fees or charges pressed against Shawn Werner. If you do deny this, i will submit in full, my testimony to the Better Business Bureau, and i will make sure to spread the word amongst my clients not to purchase from your company, and will post this information on bulletins for pricewatch.com, and any other general bulletin.
