The idea for No Campin' Gear was born in 1999 when my buddy was lookin' at the sign on my wall that read, "No Campin'!", which is a phrase passed around the stoner community in Bellevue, WA and I'm pretty sure, all over the west coast, meaning, pass that shit, stop veggin' out on my couch cuz we need to smoke too. So the idea was born but was held as a top secret for the next 5 years between us.

During that time, Shawn got another good friend, Jawid, to draw the first design. Jawid came up with the b-boy logo, which was a genius move.

The first T-Shirt's weren't made until December 2004 though, in Phoenix, AZ, which is where the graffiti logo was created by local artist Dumperfoo, shortly after that. The graffiti logo was the second in the No Campin' Gear line. He also drew the latest logo. Other artist's/designer's include Kenichi and Warren Vaughn.
