My Ford Explorer
This is my Ford Explorer, this is the car I use to compete with in Guam. The system on this car is very simple. It starts up with an Alpine CD tuner, connected to an Alpine CD controller, controlling an Alpine CD changer. The source is connected to a Phoenix Gold PLD-1 line driver, before the signal is sent to a Phoenix Gold EQ-215x 15 band equalizer with two way crossover, which splits up the signal to two Phoenix Gold MPS-2240 Amplifier. The first amplifier handles the mid and the high, while the other handles the low. All the speakers used are Boston Acoustics, a 5.4 seperates is used up front, and a 5.2 seperates are used for the rear. Low duties are handled by a pair if 12.4LF in a sealed box, firing down. All wires and interconnects are Phoenix Gold, and the vehicle was protected by a Clifford Clifalert with Smart Windows.
1993 AUTO JAM Sound Off
This is my first trophy, I guess the judges liked the way my system sounded, even with minimal speakers and low wattage. But let me tell you, even with low power and minimal speakers I was still hitting a constant 127 db, and this was done with my settings set for sound quality.
