The greatest town in the world!
For the outdoor enthusiast, Ogden offers snow skiing, water skiing, rock climbing, hiking, biking, kayaking, and many areas for ATV riding and snowmobiling. Oh sure, you are thinking that you can do these things almost anywhere. But Ogden is a superb area for ALL of these activities and all within a very small geographic area. Even when things get crowded at the rec areas, they are not really all that crowded. There's only about 200,000 people in this area (LA has literally 75 times the population)
So...if anybody wants to badmouth this area, that's great! A 'less-than-perfect' reputation for Ogden will keep housing affordable, air pollution low, and keep the crowds away!
