My name is Azreal, the angel of death. I just have to say that my name fits me perfectly; any and everybody who crosses paths with me dies. The first thing I have to help prove this, is that both of my parents died when I was little. My mother died when I was born and then my father died when I was three. Okay, well, maybe thats not too convincing. What if I were to tell you that just two years after my best friend and I met he was killed? Im not lying, I never lie. The year is 148 AS. If you dont know what AS is it means After Space. Im fifteen now and the war has been going on for fifteen years. Yeah, I dont know if its just coinsidence that the war started the year that I was born, but I doubt it. I think that I brought it along with me from my mothers womb. Death has followed me even as I was born. So, do you believe that my name fits me yet? If you dont then just keep on listening.

I look around the base really quickly and then start running across the open space just hoping that nobody sees me. Its grocery day again and its my turn to get the food. Well, I always bring it upon myself to get food for all of us. I duck into the docking garage and start making my way to the storage room. I finally get there unseen so far and so Im pretty happy, at least I have time now. I pick the lock on the storage room and duck inside. There are boxes and boxes of food surrounding me and I start tearing them all open. Theres everything from green beens to icream. I open the cloth sack that I have with me and I start pilling things in, not really caring what I put in but Im making sure to get some vegetables for the littler kids who need them; not everybodys like me and can live off of grass if need be. My bag is soon full and I sling it back over my shoulder. I quickly and quietly start making my way back where the others are waiting so that they can unload the bag and I can go back. I never let them come along, its too dangerous.
Im at the fence and unloading the bag when the guns start going off. I silently swear to myself and shove the bag at the little kids infront of me. Then I turn back to the base and start running towards another exit that I know about. I have to make sure that the others arent caught, thats my only goal. I see the hole in the fence and sigh mentally, Im going to make it. Im almost homefree when my arm is grabed by somebody. I look up and see a soldier sneering down at me. My heart nearly stops. /Oh well./ I think. I always knew that I wouldnt be lucky every time. The man starts dragging me towards a building when we both hear somebody shouting. Bozo! Bet you cant catch me too!
I look up and I see David. /No!/ I know that Im already in for it, but why did David come? I guess that he thinks that he can save me. The little ones must have gone and gotten him. To be so fast he must have been somewhere near too. I hear the soldier curse as David starts running towards the hole in the fence, I can tell that hes debating whether to nock me out and go for David or to just leave him. He doesnt move towards David, instead he switches me to his other hand and pulls out a gun. He knows that the other shooters wont get him. He raises the gun but Im determind not to let him shoot. I make my free hand into a fist and swing as hard as I can, I hit him in the nose. I can feel the cartlage moving up towards the mans brain. He falls limply to the ground, I dont even have to look closely to see that hes dead.
