Aggggges ago a few of us went Climbing
This is just visable as the journey there..... riddled with traffic-jams and sign's in welsh which amused me no-end..

I remember "Fish and Chips" was somethine terminally funny....
Climbing in Wales....
This is Wales... just below the Cribb Goch and Mount. Snowdon...

You dont get the right sense of hight and length in these pictures....
Herrre are we (Les and Ian of scoutmastery and Rob Knowles and Steve)  walking up to Crib Goch...

Rob seems to have a slight arial coming out of his head....
That is one side of a small mound.... behind it, ten times bigger is Cribb Goch and then Snowdon a bit bigger...

This is the view of our hostel from a quarter of the way up Cribb Goch.... We're quite high and we've still got LOTS to go... The hostel is the white bock on the right..
This is half way up Cribb Goch and that is a lake.... the hight was quite horrible/awe-inspiring for my virtigatious nature...
Right... lets try and get some sense of perspective. The rock in the middle-bottom of this picture is about 3 meters away... The lake in the far distance is about 10 miles away....
That be Snowdon....

The thing we're on is the top of Cribb Goch. It was a ridge. This mean that there was a nearly virtical drop each side and you had to not fall and die. I crawled.
This is between Snowdon and Cribb Goch where we sat and ate. Rest was needed.
Here's another perspective-getting picture. That lake is closer but about 20,000 feet down... and that road is just before our Hostel....
And here's me in the Hostel. You cant belive how tired i was. Think of the most tired you've ever been and then consentrate that into your legs and time 10... Thats nearly how tired i was....
This was a range called the Glyders. We were headed to the top of Glyder Vach...
Here's Steven on the top. The Gylders are supposed to be the best view point in Wales.. and when we were there.... it was FOGGY. Fogpockets to the lot of them.
Here are the jagged peaks of the Glyder's... I didnt bother to go right to the top of them.....
These are stones... they looked good when i was there.... but Mother's camera made them borring...
Aaahhh... a little stream....
The relief of walking on relatively flat ground....
This is Tryfan as seen from the Glyders....

It's really tall and we did it last time.... Its got 2 big sticky-up rocks on top that you have to jump across to say you've properly climbed it.. BUgger that i said..
