What a Thing, to be Human

"No matter how slow you go, you're still moving forward."

Would it have been nice to become the Television Champion? Yes. Absolutely. But was the scramble an improvement over Razzles' previous outing in the ring? Yes. Absolutely. In just one week's time, Razzles went from being battered and bloodied, left as a crumpled mess on a locker room floor without a shred of confidence, to defeating two participants in the gauntlet. Taking out 25% of the competition in an eight person match and eventually being eliminated by the man who won the bout and retained his Television Championship in Voss Holt, after starting the match? Sure, she may not have won the overall fight, but two victories was already miles better than being clobbered by a cheap shot with a steel chain and being handed a loss because James Nightingale managed to pin Tennessee Sinclair.

Sometimes it wasn't about winning everything. It was about picking yourself up, dusting yourself off, getting over your fears and insecurities, and promising yourself you'd try again. And comparing her first week in Action Wrestling to her second, Razzles had a lot to be proud of. She'd taken the moral high ground and she could feel good about herself, even if she wasn't leaving with hardware.

And losing after starting a match and beating two opponents certainly felt much better to reflect on than having the advantage of being the last to enter and LOSING to a man who'd been in the match for over half of its length, like some people... who happen to be named Estrella Luiz...

But that was the past. Everyone is capable of growth, and where Razzles was making steady efforts to step up to the plate and show that she wasn't just some misfit who's sole purpose in AW was being a victim of La Princesa. She had dreams, hopes, goals, and aspirations, and the Television Championship was a great starting point to prove ALL of that. Maybe fate hasn't played out in her favor so far, but there was still a lot of fight left the Pro Wrestling Pixie Stick. Fight that Estrella hadn't even begun to discover.

And most importantly? After being been in the ring with Voss, and for a lack of a better term, being decimated by the champion? It gave Razzles a reason for redemption, as well as a chance to pick his brain. Holt's relentlessness had been something that Razzles was ill-equipped to handle. It wasn't a style she was used to competing against. Being in the ring with him, even if it was a short exchange, provided her with a learning opportunity.

You only fail if you don't learn, and if you choose to go nowhere. Razzles was ready to pick herself up and push forward. She was ready to turn her luck around, and she was ready to show Voss Holt and Estrella Luiz that they were wrong about her!

vs. Voss Holt/Estrella Luiz - Triple Threat Match
Clash - AW Television Championship
December 2, 2019

RAZZLES MARS: I suppose congratulations are in order to Voss Holt. He was given a challenge that many would find insurmountable, and he conquered the challenge. That's quite impressive.

Razzles says to the camera, dragging a light pink luggage bag behind her on its wheels. A lollipop is nestled between her cheek and her teeth, which does allow her to speak in her soft British accent, albeit slightly altered. Entering the AT&T Center for the first time has her absolutely elated, even as she arrives in an oversized, lilac-colored sweater with a pair of form-fitting white jeans, and light blue sneakers.

RAZZLES MARS: He carries the mantle of champion quite proudly, and in what feels to be record breaking time. He is someone to admire, regardless of the way that he may feel about myself... he certainly does get done what he promises he will. And that is quite admirable! But now? He's going to be stuck in a difficult place, between myself and Estrella, as we try to tear one another apart. If he were not as strong of a champion as he is? The Television Championship could get lost in the shuffle. But, having been battered by Voss at Turmoil? I have no fear of that.

Razzles stated, standing the bag upright on its back feet.

RAZZLES MARS: I was happy to see Voss standing tall, especially if it meant that Estrella did not. The last thing that she needs is another reason for her head to be swollen. It's already inflated by her own self-righteousness and the lies and excuses she strings together for why she attacked me with a pipe to the head. At first it was to 'protect me' from Kennedy. Then it was 'she didn't like me.' I have my own theories for why she was a wolf in sheep's clothing: I was a bright, shiny new toy. Cameras were following my every move, she was cut out of photos of the two of us and I was left in. Estrella was jealous of the attention I got, because she felt it overshadowed her return.

She frowned, shrugging.

RAZZLES MARS: I'm sorry if her return wasn't the spectacle she wanted it to be. But, there's no shortage of opportunities for people like Estrella. She was born into privilege. She's never had to fight for every chance she's gotten, for every spotlight she's ever had. Those things have been afforded to her by just having the last name that she does. She looks at the TV title like some kind of a trinket. It's an accessory for her #outfitoftheday. She wants it, so I cannot have it. What's a hobby for her? It's my life. And I know Voss has his clutches cinched in tight to that title, but if I'm not leaving with it? Then I promise, with EVERYTHING inside of me, from guts to gumdrops? Estrella won't either!

An assured nod of the head followed as Razzles continued inward. Our scene fades to a close.
