Neil Shenton

26
Winsford, Cheshire
Engineer - Rolls Royce & Bentley Motor Cars

35
F1
1994
In the blood, my father used to race late 60's/early 70's.  I started ministox age 12 in 1988

53 John Lund - when he puts his mind to it he can always pull something special out the bag
Stoke - it's a real leveller, Coventry - superb atmosphere
Die hard F1 fan - nothing comes near in oval racing.  The Robin Reliants are always good for a laugh though

Knowing the amount of work you have to put in to race, you have to have respect for all of the drivers
Any tarmac, I don't think it's what Stock Cars is all about
Bangers - mainly due to the attitude of some in the pits who don't realise the track is for doing the racing

I think that will happen this year
Well one of my old mechanics nicknamed me the "one lap wonder" and I think that summed up the early part of my career
Watching drivers fly off at full pelt at Stoke at the start of the race, and then watch them crash one by one lap after lap, it's survival round there and like a scene from Mr Bean watching them bounce out the race
My late father Malcolm No39 in 60's/70's
Get to red and get a couple of wins under my belt

Combined Tyres of Winsford
Powerloyal UK Limited - Golf and Amenity Machinery
Shenton Garden Supplies of Macclesfield
Firow Propshafts
Any one else who wants to help come and see me, there is only so much overtime you can to do to try and cover the costs!!!  More sponsors are welcome whether it's money or goods like oil/fuel/tyres - every little bit helps.
Special thanks to Andy Powell (493) for his help but mainly my girlfriend Felicity who is always supportive and not scared to get her overalls on and help
