Mark Southam The Belly 36 Cheshunt, Hertfordshire Class One H.G.V Driver 255 Stock Rods Yarmouth back in 1999 I was always racing in one way or another, I started with karting then moved onto grasstrack and after a few years off with family commitments I went out and bought Lee Pepper's old Starlet and made our way down to Yarmouth for a family day out Stuart Smyth, Brian Smith, Michael Rumley, all 3 have in some way or another helped me out and most of the racing knowledge I have now is down to Stuart and Brian who have been a great help to me Ipswich because it is fast and a nice track to drive (when it is dry of course) The one I race of course, yes we would all like to be a National Hot Rod driver but I am living realistically None to name but no doubt there are a few??? Yarmouth, its just one of those tracks you have either got it or you ain't Sorry to have to say this but the Bangers as there is nothing worse than having to follow them out to clear up as often as we do That would be when I changed from my Starlet to a Nova and managed a Heat & Final double This was at the Cowdenbeath Racewall for the 2000 British Champs when I had a nice seventh on the grid and on the rolling start the battery exploded leaving me to watch the race from the football pitch I asked the wife this one and she said "watching you run in the 40lap Le Mans at Wimbledon" Yes I am a bad influence on everybody To try and win just one title to put on my roof Miller Motorsport, Worldwide Recovery Systems, Brantwood Auto Breakers, Flynn Signs, PC Auto Repairs. A big thank you to my wife and three lovely daughters for putting up with me and my racing and also a big thank you to Paul and Pip for the work and time they spend preparing and painting my car and last of all that Smyth and Smith and all their crew for their help and support. |
