History: Mariel was your typical daddy's little princess. She belongs to a noble family, and took up cartography as a habit thanks to her natural talent and used it as an excuse to hang around sailors to hear their stories of travel and adventure. She might have been able to use her family's influence and money to cover up her Exalted-ness, but Mari was never the most sensible sort. She was luckily saved by the captain of a trading vessel, another Solar, and now she travels with this boat and three other Solars, in search of her past. She recently met the Lunar to whom she was married in the First Age.
Personality: Mariel's a sweet girl who means well, but she's a spoiled brat and too smart for her own good. Very little common sense. Her reaction to Exalting was "whee, power! Lookit me!" and she's totally proud of her ninja-esque Night Cast skills and charms. Luckily, she's a mad talented martial artist (Dreaming Pearlescent Courtesan style) so she's managed not to die a horrible death at the hands of the Dragon Blooded just yet.
