CB Radio Antenna/Wire Installation

This may only work for those of you with 1989-1995 Toyota pick-ups/4runners. But it could also come in handy, for those with other kinds of trucks, trying to figure out how to install your CB antenna.

Above is a picture of underneath the hood. Within the small red circle is a rubber boot on the firewall of your truck. For the late 80's/ early 90 toyota owners, this should be similar. Through this boot, I have my Air Conditioning unit, and other wires going into the inside of the cab. If your boot is not already pierced, it is easy to do it with just a screwdriver.

Once pierced, you can go to the inside of your truck and stick your head under the steering wheel. If you look up and to the very top side corner, you will be able to see the hole that you have just made. It comes out somewhere above the clutch. The picture below give a good idea of what to look at...

The black wire that comes all the way down the picture is my CB wire. It is very hard to see, but somewhere near the red circle is where is came through. To do this, all you have to do is feed it through the rubber boot.

After these things have been completed you should have no trouble at all running the wire to your CB radio unit. I hope this has been some help to you.
