A LITTLE SOMETHING TO DO: Now it's YOUR chance to show how much you really love Riviera: Earlier in the year a certain John Peel played a couple of tracks from the (old) Riviera demo on his legendary BBC Radio 1 show (before inviting them for a session), and his particular favourite seemed to be 'Pick-Up Star'. As you all know, at the end of every year Mr. Peel compiles a 'Festive Fifty' list, which is a list of the listeners' favourite tracks of that year... Oh yes, the plan is that all Riviera fans MUST CLICK HERE and vote for 'Pick-Up Star' (and 2 tracks of your own choice). Of course 'Pick-Up Star' has not officially been released but thatshould not spoil the fun and intense satisfaction you will feel by voting for it anyway. That'll be lovely. Don't forget: Riviera loves you too!

X-MAS HAS COME EARLY
! Riviera have been kindly asked to play club Vodkaskunk at UnderSolo (it's a Members Only club you know) on 12th December 2001. It's a bit of a Christmas do (but no comedy Santa hats, they're sooooo un-Riviera). Check out the Live Dates page as you will need the special information available. This is (yet again) the last Riviera event of the year, after which Riviera will magically disappear into thin air (after they finish their drinks), only to emerge again sometime in 2002. The 9th of January at the Bull & Gate to be precise.

DECEMBER SPECIAL
! Especially for the festive season Riviera have added a new number to their ever growing set-list (it's almost 30 minutes now!). They want to keep the new song a bit of a secret, but those of you who attended their Monarch gig will know we're talking 'Christmas', we're talking 'Wham', we're talking 'snow', we're talking 'Last'... ehm... bah!

**2/12/2001**

OH DEAR
! Due to unforeseen circumstances (ie Alexa losing her angelic voice and Taylor losing his beautiful sight) Riviera actually had to CANCEL last night's gig at the Pleasure Unit at the very last moment! Don't worry, they'll both be fine soon. Apologies to everyone that travelled east to see them only to find that the only band playing that night was some kind of funk band (ie not Riviera).

WINTER TOUR CONTINUES
: Riviera will be playing the Pleasure Unit (Bethnal Green Road)on December 1st. Expect a little bit of a (S-Club) party as Riviera will also be down on the dj decks again doing their thing. They will play PJ & Duncan, so it might all get a bit 'ectic.

GROUPIES>>>
Riviera has been kindly asked to DJ at hot new club-night 'Groupies' in Soho TONIGHT (click here for more info on the club)! Expect some top-pop, bouncy beats and synth-shakers. So put on your dancing shoes, drop the plans you might have had and bring your date. And stay tuned, as this might turn into a bit of a monthly appearance.

: The are some more live dates to look forward to: Riviera have added 3 more London dates to this 'winter tour'. Check out the new LIVE DATES page for details. Remember this your chance to be the first to catch a glimpse of the brand new Riviera line-up as Logan has taken up his new position as Riviera's keyboard-player, which has been celebrated with some appropriate festivities in the past few weeks.

THERE IS A NEW DOCTOR IN TOWN
: A warm welcome, Mr. Logan! Ladies... he is single, he has recently moved into dr. Paris' Mayfair flat, and he's got a fine robot collection.
THE DOCTOR IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE DOCTOR!

HURRAH
! The crowds are cheering!!! Can you hear them say 'Weeeyho' ('Weeeyho')! In other words: RIVIERA IS BACK!
Yes, the boys and girls of Riviera got a bit bored of 24-hour lipstick application & Heartbreak High thrills, so they have decided it's time to get back on that popscene.
They will be playing a low-key gig to get back into the swing of it all on
October 8th at that hard-core, underground, little known, ostentatious hotspot that is the Bull & Gate in street-cred Kentish Town.
The next gig booked (now, now, get in line, a bit of patience please, calm down) is on
November 3rd at the glamourous, dancefloor-thrilling, new-acoustic-movement-killing Fanclub, which is of course being held at the Verge (inbetween sreet-cred Ken'ish Taaawn and beautiful clean and decent Camden Town).
Also some good news for all the die-hard Riviera addicts: some of London's most prestigious DJs managed to get their hands on that much in demand Riviera demo... and yes, this means that Riviera can now be heard in disco-dens like 'The Gutter Club' and 'Jet Black and Bleached'.  Now, to make sure you stay in touch put this page in your  'favourites' NOW (how come it wasn't there already an
yway), as more dates will be confirmed very soon.

AND THE PLOT THICKENS
: Two possible leads into the investigation have been found. The first being that Doctor Paris' swanky red convertible Alpha Romeo has been found deserted on the waterfront at Southend-by-Sea. An abandoned copy of the National Enquierer with the words 'Jennifer Lopez' highlighted was left in the car. The second, and possibly less significant lead is that a stethoscope with the initials 'N. P.' was washed up on the beach.... What could it all mean?

MISSING DOCTOR UPDATE
: Nikki's Mayfair flat (and occasional practice) has been found completely empty, with the exception of a prescription note (or is it a cocktail recipe, doctor?).

**14/9/2001**

NEWS JUST IN
: Nikki Paris, Riviera's keyboard-player, has gone missing! Riviera are opening a private investigation and would like to appeal to the hearts of the people and would be grateful for information (no matter how silly). This is a special message for Nikki: 'Oi, you owe us five quiid'.
