First Visit: *October 17, 2000* Melissa makes her first appearance on TRL, an appearance to remember as she celebrates the release of her debut album with MTV.

Second Visit: *December 1, 2000* Melissa gets TRL into the Christmas spirit as she hosts the show in support of her Christmas album.

Third Visit: *February 5, 2001* Melissa performs her current hit single "Got To Go If" on the show and talks about her "All I Am" album that hit stores the following day.

Fourth Visit: *March 12, 2001* Melissa stops by TRL to world premiere her video for "If You're Gonna Dance" and meets 2 fans who battle it out to hang out with Melissa for 1 day on the set of her movie "Angel".

Fifth Visit: *April 10, 2001* Melissa along with Michael Weatherly make a trip to TRL to talk about their new movie "Angel", and her video "Girl Power".

Call In: *May 9, 2001* Melissa called in to TRL to talk about her upcoming album, her "All I Am" Tour and thanked fans for voting for her "Girl Power" video and going to see her new movie "Angel". She also answered some questions from fans.

Sixth Visit: *June 12, 2001* Melissa drops by the TRL studios to world premiere her video for the first single off her upcoming Exposed LP, "No Player". She also nixed a few rumors about her and boyfriend Paul Walker being engaged and plugged his new film "The Fast And The Furious".

Call In: *August 1, 2001* Melissa phoned TRL and chatted shortly about the release of her next single ["Get Down On It"] off her forthcoming LP, Exposed. She also confirmed that she will be visiting Tuesday [8/14] to preform, ramble about her new album and announce the Tour Dates [for the first time] for her Exposed World Tour 2001

Seventh Visit: *August 14, 2001* Melissa stopped by TRL on the release date of her brand new album Exposed, she answered some lucky fan questions and performed a medley featuring her hits "No Player", "Girl Power" and "Make You Mine". Melissa also announced the dates for her highly anticipated Exposed World Tour 2001!

Call In: *September 18, 2001* Melissa called into TRL to share her thoughts and feelings on the recent World Trade Center tragedy, she also, like many others, had family and friends in New York. Luckily, and thankfully, they're all ok.

Eighth Visit: *November 13, 2001* Melissa dropped by the TRL studios to talk about her upcoming HBO live concert special at Madison Square Garden and her new remix album, "Melissa Remixed".

Ninth Visit: *April 23, 2002* Melissa visited the TRL studios to talk about her new album, "Fame", and she also talked about her nervousness about hosting the 2002 MTV Movie Awards this coming June.

Tenth Visit: *June 11, 2002* Melissa makes an unexpected, unscheduled appearance on TRL at the Sea Shore beachouse in Florida to premiere her new video "Do What You Came To Do". Sporting a new short hair-do, Mel discussed her recent hosting experience at the MTV Movie Awards and her upcoming world tour.

Eleventh Visit: *September 6, 2002* Melissa made time for a chat with MTV VJ, Carson Daly, on TRL today. Not only did she debut her incredible new video, "Innatrance", but she also talked about life on the road, "X-Men 2", and of course, Paul. When asked about how hard it is to maintain their relationship throughout their busy careers, Melissa replied and gushed, "He's so special! I can't even describe how supportive, patient and understanding he has been. He's just been a backbone for me. My cell phone is my best friend because it's the only way we can communicate at times. It gets hard sometimes, but we bare the bumpy roads together. For eachother." Melissa also briefly discussed her new upcoming book, "Shared Heart".

Call In: *September 19, 2002* Melissa called into TRL today to explain and elaborate more on the bus fire incident, she also thanked her fans for voting "Innatrance" onto the countdown.

Twelvth Visit: *October 23, 2002* Melissa served as a guest host on TRL today, interviewing JC Chasez from 'N Sync and talking to Shaggy, who stopped by to premiere his new video. Melissa also surprised the studio audience by performing an acoustic version of her past hit, "Baby I..".

Thirteenth Visit: *May 2, 2003* Melissa stops by the TRL studios to promote "X2." Looking gorgeous as usual, she joked about how she felt a little out of place around actors Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry, and personally made a fan's day by inviting him to come up to the studio from outside and sing her a song. But the highlight of the day was when one of the VJ's announced that Justin Timberlake's video was at #4 and Melissa was shown rolling her eyes and shaking her head with a smirk, while saying "so dishonest" under her breath. Take that, Justin! After being put through the 'wringer' and completing her 15 second trailer, thanks to the votes from fans, Melissa was able to announce that she had the #1 video of the day on the show!

Fourteenth Visit: *March 11, 2004* Melissa dropped by the TRL studios to talk about her new film "Dawn Of The Dead" and discuss what she's been up to lately. She also denied rumors of dating Mark Wahlberg, saying, "There is no truth to those rumors. Mark and I are cool, but not THAT cool."

Fifteenth Visit: *July 7, 2004* Melissa and her "After Tuesday" co-star Jon Abrahams stopped by the TRL studios to chat for a bit. Melissa was asked about her boyfriend Ryan Gosling, but she didn't want to talk about it, only revealing that she "feels very full and complete." Later, she and Jon did some hilarious poses together in the MTV photo booth.

Call In: *August 17, 2004* Melissa phoned into TRL to talk about working with Damien Rice on her upcoming album, which she is "extremely excited about," and her foundation to help music education and its partnership with the American Music Conference. VJ Damien Fahey seemed to be more interested in why Melissa was so "hot," rather than her initial reasons for calling. They wrapped up with Damien asking for Melissa's hand in marriage and Melissa laughingly responding, "You're awesome. But I'll have to decline."

Sixteenth Visit: *September 10, 2004* Melissa drops by the TRL studio to talk about her new movie 'Paranoid' and why she's remaining so quiet about her romance with Ryan Gosling. Asked if she ever gets upset over the inquisitve nature of the media, Melissa responded, "That's just the way the cookie crumbles in this business. What can you do, really? I just feel like I have to protect what little privacy I have left. I'm a little more reserved now, when it comes to my personal life. Everyone seems to know everything about my life. So, for once, I want one thing that people don't know so much about. You know what I mean?" She also revealed that she has completed her new album! "The record is finally done and I'm so excited. It's a calm feeling, but kind of sad as well, because I love working in the studio. At some point, you have to create a deadline and stick with it."

Seventeenth Visit: *October 21, 2004* Melissa stops by the TRL studios to premiere the video for her new single "Overflow." Of course, she was asked if the recent reports about her being engaged were true, and she responded, cleverly saying, "You know what, if you guys think I'm engaged, then that's ok. If you don't, then that's ok, too. How about we just leave it at that, because people are going to believe what they want, regardless of what I say." Melissa was also asked about all those sexy love scenes with Benjamin McKenzie in the new video. "Oh, Ben's a total hottie, but he doesn't play on it," she said. "He's actually really shy and reserved. When you watch him on his TV show, you see all that energy and personality come out. But in person, he's really quiet and likes to soak everything in. Really fun to be around, though."

Eighteenth Visit: *November 23, 2004* Melissa visits TRL to celebrate the release of her new album, The Deep End, and show a sneak preview of her new video, "Striptease." Melissa also revealed that she plans to embark on a world tour to support the album. "I really miss being out on the road and I can't wait to perform these new songs for the fans," Melissa said. "It'll be interesting because I have lots of ideas that I'm thinking about pursuing to make this show really special and memorable." Melissa added that while there is currently no itenerary for the tour, it will "most likely start in late spring/early summer."

Nineteenth Visit: *December 20, 2004* Melissa co-hosts TRL with MTV VJ's LaLa and Damien. Not only does she decide the order of each video on the countdown, she also answers personal and professional questions from the live studio audience.
