With Melissa's tight schedule, it's a wonder how she even had time to record this disc in time for the holidays. The standard carols--"Silent Night," and "The Christmas Song"--aren't nearly as much fun as the original tracks here, but new and improved pop version of "Santa Claus is coming to town" is by far the masterpiece, and proof that Melissa is more than just a pretty face. "The Best Gift (Acceptance)" and "I Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)" are addictive despite being overly cute, now the "Feliz Navidad" was a pathetic attempt at an easy latin Christmas classic, I don't even think Madonna could mess that up as bad as Melissa did. The two standouts are the touching new ballads "To Be In Love On Christmas" which brings in Enrique Iglesias' sexy but emotional vocals, and the sad and teary-eye worthy "Wishing you were here". Those two are definitely worth the money alone. Keep in mind that Christmas CDs belong in the background, let go of your anti-pop prejudices for just one day, and you'll be bopping along with Melissa in no time. --- 3 stars
