Melissa honored by the Make A Wish foundation

The Make-A-Wish Foundation honors Melissa!

Each year the Make-A-Wish Foundation honors members of the celebrity community who have generously given a little of their time and a lot of their heart to help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses. This past year, Melissa Williams has graciously and enthusiastically provided amazing wish experiences for precious children who wanted nothing more than to meet her-children like 15-year-old Rebecca. When Rebecca wished to meet Ms. Williams, even she could not have imagined what an amazing experience it would be. Ms. Williams invited Rebecca to accompany her to a photo shoot for Teen People magazine where, upon learning it was Rebecca's birthday, sang a special version of "Happy Birthday" just for Rebecca. The next night Rebecca was Ms. Williams' special guest at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Because Melissa Williams has gone above and beyond to make dreams come true for some of her youngest fans with life-threatening illnesses, we are extremely pleased to honor her with the Make-A-Wish Foundation's 2001 Chris Greicius Award for Celebrity Wish Granter of the Year. Chris Greicius is the child who inspired the creation of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
