NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Sept. 19, 2001

Melissa Williams, James Taylor and Maxwell have added their voices, and their checkbooks, to aid the victims and families affected by this week's tragedies, through donations to the ClearChannel.com Relief Fund.

At concerts scheduled this evening and early next week, each of these artists will donate thousands of dollars from their ticket proceeds, and encourage their fans to do likewise.

Melissa Williams, James Taylor and Maxwell have joined an unprecedented group of diverse talent that also include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Backstreet Boys, Sade and Earth, Wind & Fire. Each artist has donated at least $10,000 to honor those families who may need financial assistance after the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The ClearChannel.com Relief Fund has been established to benefit the American Red Cross and appropriate New York and Washington, DC area Police and Firemen Department Funds.

In light of this week's tragedies, Clear Channel is hoping to use music to begin the healing process and will look to its other performances over the next several weeks to continue to add to this relief fund.
