Melissa: The freedom to sing the way I want to.

Question: Did you really fight with Christina Aguilera at the MTV Music Awards?

Melissa: No. Please don't believe everything that you read or hear!

Question: Did you ever have voice lessons?

Melissa: Yes, I have.

Question: What is your nickname?

Melissa: I have a lot of nicknames. Mel, Pumpkin, of course, every girl is called Pumpkin by their father, and MW.

Question: Hi, Melissa, I just wanted to know how many of your songs have you written on the new album?

Melissa: I co-wrote 2 songs on the new album, "All I Am" and "Moments".

Question: Melissa, do you have any regrets about the career you've chosen?

Melissa: I don't have any regrets about my career. I do regret that people judge me when they don't know me.

Question: Melissa, would you ever think about doing a song with Britney Spears?

Melissa: Yes, if it's the right song.

Question: Melissa, will you ever sing a song with Jay-Z?

Melissa: I've done a strictly for radio remix with Jay Z, for "Do You Want Me Baby", I believe.

Question: Do you think music influences kids in a positive/negative way?

Melissa: I think it's all how young America perceives a song. And if they understand who is singing the song and why they are singing it, if it doesn't apply to them, then they can appreciate the music and not become a part of what the song says. But I do think it is a universal language.

Question: Melissa! Will you go out with me?

Melissa: I don't know who me is! LOL.

Question: Melissa, do you like to date boys that are not superstars?

Melissa: Of course! It doesn't matter to me if the person is a superstar. As long as they have a good heart, they have goals and know how to treat a lady like a lady. And they treat their moms with respect.

Question: Melissa! I have both of your CDs and I think they're great! I was wondering, why didn't you put more slow songs on your debut CD?

Melissa: The first CD mostly reflected what the producers felt was right for the record, some of my experiences and experiences of friends of mine were thrown in as well, and that's just the way it turned out.

Question: Melissa, when was your first kiss?

Melissa: My first kiss... I don't remember when, but I do remember asking my mom if I could kiss this person.

EAMusic1: What did she say?

Melissa: Of course, she said no.

Question: Melissa, I think you are just the nicest person, you are so sweet!

Melissa: Oh, thank you!

Question: Melissa, I would like to know, when does your tour start?

Melissa: January 27th!!!

Question: Melissa, I just want to say I love you very much, but is your brother single?

Melissa: My brother is single.

Question: Melissa, would you date out of your race?

Melissa: Again, I don't think race would make a difference. I think if they have all those qualities I mentioned earlier, it wouldn't matter.

Question: Melissa, would you ever do a song with AJ McLean again?

Melissa: Sure.
