Hello!!
My name is Belinda I am 21. I live in Brisbane (Nundah). The very first
Powderfinger concert I ever went to was in "96" or it may have been "97"
Powderfinger were playing at the University it was in the afternoon. I can't
remember who else played that afternoon I think it might have been Scream
Feeder (my memory is shocking) but I do remember having the best time! It
really would be to hard for me to choose a favourite album even maybe a song
but I do like Powderfinger's older music, but Internationalist and Odyssey
still kick arse without a doubt!!! It's great to be part of the cult(ooops
mailing list).
Until next time.........
Cheers Thanks very much
Belinda!!

Nothing at all from Double Allergic or prior ... not even one song!!! Loved
the set at Sydney BDO but a couple of the old 'rockier' tracks would have
been great too guys (boing boing, take me, come away, anyone??).

Hey all,
I'm Clare, I'm 16 , and my favourite Powderfinger album would have
to be Doublt Allergic. My fav song is probably Pick You Up, but I
absolutely love the finger, and have never seen them live, since my
parents wouldn't let me go to BDO.
See ya all later

‘allo all! newbie on the horizon...!
so HI! My name’s Veronica but most people call me Ron…I’m 18, just
finished Year 12 and am heading off to uni to do a five year degree
*ew* . Any fellow Sydney westies on the mailing list thingo? Oooh, a
westie! Yes, we are traditionally known as the scraggy-sydney-siders
but we’re not all that bad =P. My fave powderfinger album at the
moment is internationslist (capocity!!) -- i abandoned it a while when
o#5 came out but now its back and kickin on my stereo (where it should
be!!). I’ve never been to a powdie gig cos –SHOCK- i don’t know any
other avid pf obsessors (oops i meant fans) and have yet to scrape up
enough ca$h to bribe someone to go with me. So if there’s any other
musically-isolated people out there gimme a maily maybe we can be
rejects together ay? Besides Powderfinger, I also like the Red Hot
Chili Peppers, excessive watching of junk on TV and my appropriately
named backwards cat called Tac. Seeya’s for now!

Well In my very first econodog email i was told i had to say
a little about myself....
so here goes...

My name is katie Lio and I live in Melbourne... I am 17
(Nearly 18 :-) ) I found out about the Econodogs about 9
months ago through a website (oipic i think... i found it
from powderfinger.net) and have been trying to sign up
ever since... and finally... the happiest day of my life
(apart from the melbourne day out and oct 28th) i recieved
an email back!!! Favourite Powderfinger song?? Your kidding
right? umm Reap What You Sow at the moment... and Odyssey
#2.. I kinda like songs that are different from their normal
stuff, and the older stuff (Yes I am kinda a big fan of
Parables.. Guys from Powderfinger if your reading this... i
was the one at the October 28th show in melbourne yelling
"Play Something from Parables" at every break... even though
i knew you would never be able to hear me...) But It's hard
for me to decifer a favourite song.. i love em all... What
Ever Makes You Happy... the list goes on... I first saw them
live October 28th 2000 at the overage gig I shouldn't have
gotten into but I truly believed and still do that they
overrage would have been better then the under age... Saw
them at the Big Day Out too where I was crushed in the pit
during Like A Dog and then retreadted to blow bubbles up the
back and listen to the music... I just wish they would play
something slightly older than Internationalist sogs at
their gigs...

Well i hope that gives everyone some idea of who i am...
thanks for staying awake. i hope..

Kat

Gidday everyone

bloody disappointing to see my kinda scene beaten by the hopelessly
inferior my happines. Obviously it was gonna be # one, but I was still
hoping to see my kinda scene get up there.
Its old news now, but was anyone else incredibly disappointed with O#5? A
pretty mundane follow up to a brilliant release like internationalist. THe
whole album is depressingly uniform. There are some highlights, (these
days, my kinda scene) but apart from that, theres little variation,
imagination, or innovation. I dont like to say so, butid have to call it
their worst record to date. (dont forget tracks like JC, return of the
electric horsemen, living type and pick you up before you write double
allergic off.) anyway, thats my two cents worth. If anybody agrees, make
sure you post something. Im sure i wont have to encourage those who disagree.

PS - great to see youre into wheat's album, Paul. Dont I hold you is one of
my real favorites at the moment. I downloaded it, but havent been able to
get hold of their CD. let me know where I can. seeya

anyways, in the mosh my friend was with a canadian guy called john who was
going back to his home country in 3 weeks. if any body know who or where he
is, could they please email me, so i can tell her, cos she'd love to catch
up with him...so if anyone out there knows of him, yeah...

time i'd seen the guys, and they were just as good. amazingly, the crowd was
the wildest for them
