Howdy all,
its been pretty quiet on the Melbourne front of all that is dog like.
Anything organised for the Melbourne BDO?
A big g'day to all the New Dogs out there, there seems to be a big
influx at the moment, and of course to all the existing (notice i
steered away from saying old) members.
Take it easy all

Gidday (I'm new to this fan site)
I (Nick) am a fan of Powderfinger from Auckland. The guys
are only now beginning to be known over here due to Odessey
No.5, but I follow the aussie music scene closely and I'm
convinced that Aussie has the best bands in the world, just
need to look at Powderfinger, Silverchair, Living End,
Superjesus. Its just a shame they don't get the overseas
recognition they deserve, 'cause its way better than the
US crap. Anyway, my favorite songs would have to be 'Belter'
and 'Up and Down..', all the last three albums are my favorite,
I can't decide!
Off to the BDO in Auckland tommorow, with my broken ankle.
Thats not gonna keep me away from seeing these guys, I've
never seen them before live so I was really annoyed when I
was put in a cast.
Catch u l8r

Hi everyone, I'm Clare. I'm 15, live in Victoria, love Powderfinger and have
been a fan now for i don't know how long. It's impossible for me to choose
one out of their many songs and say it's my favourite coz I love them all.
Fav album is a toss up between Double Allergic and Odyssey #5. I saw them in
Melbourne in October and thought it was awesome. I also post on the
discussion board as Clare (very original) though i haven't for awhile.

Hey, Kate, do you still have my video of when
Powderfinger guest-programmed Rage? Either you still
have it, I have misplaced it, or I have taped over it.
I hope you still have it.

Resource site but finally there's new content. There's 3 interviews from
Brisbane newspapers and some UK trinkets (comprising of a UK zine article,
some exclusive photo's and some social pics). The URL is @

on sunday, I never even heard that there was going to be one until

to a tape recorder, did anyone tape it? i would be sooooo grateful
if i could get a copy , don't have much to trade, except the jfile
thing, and a elliott smith concert tape.
btw, everyone all excited about seeing them at the bdO, anyone

Hello to all you rockers who like it pfstyle.
my name is Emanuel& I'm an older 28!! bloke from Melb.
My 1st prock moment was seeing "Reap what you sow" on Rage and
it blowing my mind. Imagine my surprise when my friend Elaine @
the record store informs me that it's pf and has me in the moods
that pf bring to this day. Having seen pf many times & meeting
them a couple of times(cool guys, down to earth, appreciative
of their fans, & givers of the gifts we receive) Id like to thank
them for all they give. I could listen to proc 24/7 and would
love to find any live/non-released tracks available on cd.If
anyone can help pls e-mail me @ [email protected]
Cheers & prock.... Emanuel

Subject: Weird Lectures
Not sure if anyone's posted anything about this
before...but anyway...
A few months ago we had a company come to our school
and give us this presentation on, well, I can't
actually remember now, (something about teenagers and
not drinking and driving, you know how it is) but they
had this scenario of a car crash and injured people
being carried out if it, and 'These Days' was being
played as the 'theme'. Of course I went psycho
(quietly, respectfully psycho of course) and then sat
back down in my seat. Highlight of my day, I tell you.
I reckon it's good that Powderfinger's music is being
used for these kind of things...heaps of kids get to
hear them and it makes seminars less boring. Yay.
thanks...
Holly.

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone who was at Homebake '99 remembers
powderfinger playing a song called Americana, and whether or not
it is on OD#5 under a different name?
Thanks
Kim
