Hello one and all!

Being a new Econodog on the block I thought I should introduce myself.
My name is Rachael and I'm 26. I live in Grand Brisvegas!!! Having lived
here for ages I have seen the boys around the traps a few times. But I only
just met them a few days ago whilst filming the new clip for Like A Dog. It
was grand and all reports are true that they are friendly and personable. I
have been into Powderfinger for about a hundred years or infact from the
first second I heard Parables for Wooden Ears. Fave song, well that is a
tough one, I don't think I can actually pick just one, so I will say all of
them. Fave gig, once again every single time I have seen them play. OH and
I foud out about the Econodogs from some other members while online one
night, so thanks guys for letting me know!! Loving your work.

Cheers

Rachael

Sorry ppls but I might use some offensive language in here
How can Bardot or at least someone remotely associated with the Australian
music industry not know that Powderfinger have a song called These Days????
I mean for fuck's sake the song won tha J's Hottest 100 which I count as
prestigious as an Aria. So I would like to say that this Kate fool from
Bardot is an ignorant piece of crap who has an average - to - good voice and
a marketable body. Well yeah that comment really pissed me off so I had to
say sumthing about it. neways I'm gonna crawl back to my shaded corner
again goodbye.

hi all eco-dogs!

my name is shaz (hi shaz!)... and i have a powderfinger problem. he he
just kidding. powderfinger are great (we all know that).
i'm new, and i'm going to germany for two months in two days, but all
is not lost! i am taking my powderfinger cds, and they'll make me think
of home. i saw the finger in october, and they were fan-bloody-tastic.
looking forward to the big day out!

funniest powderfinger moments:
1. "this is spinal finger"
2. the incessant attitude problem interviwers have with the guys (of
course cricket is a far more interesting topic than the new album)
3. when my friend told me that some guy thought living type was about
menstruation!
4.this article that i found on the net. it's about the new queens of
the stone age album, which is great, but this guy was bagging it for
basically not fitting the genre he expected it to. he goes onto say...

"Besides the heavily distorted guitars typical of grunge bands, many of
the songs feature pianos, steel guitars and horns, but the songs still
sound like the same grunge rock that bands like Mudhoney and the
Melvins [!] have been doing for years."

that had me in hysterics for ages! (remember celebrity head guys?)

anyway, gotta catch a plane
shaz

Hey,
Just wanted to say thanx soooo much to Paul for the bootleg! Anyone else who
can get a copy, I highly recomend it! It hasn't come out of my CD player
since I got it!! Although it may sound bias, the show I saw here in Perth
seemed so much better!! They hardly talked at all at the Enmore, well at
least they played more songs so I guess thats cool.....

Hi, I'm Kim from Newcastle and I'm 16.

I've been a massive fan of Powderfinger since they released Double
Allergic. The first time I saw Powderfinger live was at the BDO 1998.
It was my first mosh and i got absoultely hammered, front row centre,
but it rocked. My fav. concert would have to be Enmore Theatre 2000
but my fav live performance was Triple J Breakfast Show in July this
year where I met and had photos taken with the band. My fav album would
have to be either Double Allergic (for sentimental reasons) or
Internationalist (because it kicks arse!) Fav song would have to be
a choice between Capacity or Living Type or Vladmir or Freeze or
basically anything that Powderfinger does.

I heard about this mailing list from my sister who Paul told about
it sometime ago when she went into his record store and talked
about what a massive freak of a fan she is.
