WOOHOO! Happy 300 ya all :)
Good work to Jono and Paul for all their effort in making this all
possible...
Anyhow, refering to the subject, yes! It is on again this year after
last year's success ( just check out the photo on PF.net).
Even tho Powderfinger sadly arent on the bill for Homebake this year,
I'm sure there are a lot of Econodogs/ PF fans who support the Australian
music scene no doubt.
THe list has grown heaps with lots of new members so I'm sure there are
people wanting to meet other econodogs who havent already done so. Good
opportunity to stop by and say HI or even a chat. So email me if you
are interested, I'll give you a few more details at: [email protected]
(or the above). If you're interstate or regional I'll love to hear from
ya.
Cheers,
mai

Hello All.....
This old Bardot thing from the Aria's should be wrapped up. I found the
comment funny, and took it as a joke. If it wasnt and was meant to be
something more sinister, Oh well, i still found it funny.
Either way, those girls, in Bardot, have been working hard since they were
on popstars, and we shouldnt knock em all that much. I cant see anyone else
giving it a go.... and besides, there have been performers worse than them.
Anyone remember Melissa Tkautz and Collette .....hrmmmmm
And dont get me started on Craig McLachlan and Check 1-2.....
I rest my case.

hello everyone,
300. in the words of many a person on this list "omg"
It's a bloody huge effort, and I dont know how Paul has been doing it. I
dont suppose he has a choice though ;p
In all seriousness I think everyone should raise their glasses because
its really an absolute bastard of a job.
Still, its one step closer to that never ending drink rider in the sky.
So everyone have a good time when you've finished your exams or
whatever, and dont forget to worship post-it notes. They're very handy.
love,
Jonathan with the best job on television.
ps Paul - champion. been going good? kids are ok I hope, and Leanne as
well. Don't work too hard boss, and hopefully i'll catch you at the you
am i show at *yuck* fannys. Gonna need the Glen20 i think. Seeyah

Hi there fellow doggies.
Just wondering if any of you guys were at the show on Friday October 27th at
the Forum in Melbourne...I was at the front proudly sporting my econodog
t-shirt, but didn't see one other the entire night!!!
Needless to say, the lads rocked as usual and I had a dandy old time. Can't
wait til the BDO now! Good luck to you boys as you give the UK the
'finger!!!!!!!
Bye for now,
Emma ;)

big influence this tour...
i saw my first powderfinger show october 28 at the under 18 gig in
melbourne (front row) and it was awesome (sorry ian for screaming "i
love you ian" a few too many times)...
i hate to ask the same question as everyone else, but i'm also hanging
to know what bernie said at the arias about bardot...does anyone
actually know????
i couldn't say my fave PF song/album, they're all just too good.
love yas all,
bianca

Hi,
My name is Penelope. I now live in New York and am craving some quality
Aussie music and contact with the scene. Found my way through the net to
econodog site and thought "Wonderful! Now I can stay in touch with the
Powderfinger scene."
I went to University of QLD (1992-4) and was living in Paddington when I
first heard of the guys. Friends of mine went to school with JC and so we
would go to there early shows up at the Criterion Pub. That was when they
still did Black Crowes cover songs! Took a liking to them then, instantly.
Bunch of great guys.
Ended up working alongside JC at a nightclub on Given Terrace in Paddington
during '93....can't remember its name now.
Followed there success as much as possible but due to being O.S since '96 I
have had some trouble staying in touch.
Recently my sister sent me the JJJ Hottest 100 and I got back in touch with
the sound. Thank God!
So that's it. Any info anyone wants to share with me would be cool. This
little Aussie in the Apple wants to know what is happening back home. Are
they touring the U.S??
Hope to hear from someone soon.
My email address is: [email protected]
Ciao!!

hey fellow econodogs,
we have reached a little milestone today... 300 digests :) thanks
for all who help to make the list a great list. We've had our ups
and downs... we've had lots of people come and go... but we're all
still here (almost 550 people are now subscribed to this list).
Thanks to Jono for running the list for a while there when things
in my life were a little hectic :) anyway, enough babbling.
cya's
paul
PS A few people have asked me about the powderfinger live at the
enmore cd that i've been listening to of late. It's a 2cd set
that a friend of a friend has put together. The quality is as
good as i've heard for an audience recording. If anyone is
interested in getting a copy, email me at [email protected]
and i'll let you know how to go about it.
