I think a few people (media & the lovely doggies alike) about Bern's
remark to Bardot. Don't you reckon it was just delivered in the ol'
sarcastic dry humpor that he is renowned for. I thought it was pretty
unoffesive. Ah well, just one man's humble opinion. Take it easy all

hey fellow econos,
I just wanna say that I am looking forward to the gold coast BDO at the
parklands. It is going to rock. And somebody voted for silverchair a bit too
much. I think its time that Powderfinger won the Channel V award.

Well this is my first post..I can't tell you how long
I've been a lurker for. Anyways, I thought I should
come out of my shell since a very important econodogs
date is coming up..the 300th digest thingymajig. Yay
for Paul and everybody else who has been involved..top
effort and a rousing round of 'for he's a jolly good
fellow'.
Onto all things Powderfingery. The tour is over and I
for one had a smashingly good time. I have learnt my
lesson though and next time I will buy tickets to more
than one bloody concert(I went to the Friday Arena one
and about the only concert where DZ didn't sing JC at
that-d'oh)Oh ...in the interim I will also a)try to
grow a few centimetres(damn shortarse gene) b)find
someone with strong shoulders to hang around with(I've
never understood guys who let chicks sit on their
shoulders-how can they enjoy themselves if they have
somebody plonked on their head-ah well..lifes
complexities)
Also does anybody know if I'd be able to find the
Living Type single anywhere anymore-I'm itching to
hear the Mains track where all the boys sing-I've gone
to Rockinghorse and Skinny's up here in Brisbane with
no luck.
Wishing the 'fingers well on their overseas jaunt.
C'ya all later

Everyone seems to be reacting to Bernie's little comment about Bardot's song
'These Days' with remarks such as "Good on ya Bern, you tell em", and "They
deserve everything they get", and "Bernie didn't have to be so nasty to
them! He's just bitter Powderfinger didn't win anything!"
I just wanna say, did it ever occur to any of you that Bernie was joking?
You know, joke, like ha ha, I made a funny, everyone laugh and not take it
too seriously? J-O-K-E?

Ok Guys, well first things first, as you can see,
my name's Erin and I'm 18. Right. Am a huge
finger fan, have all their CD's and only just
joined this thing! Took me a while huh?
Anyhoos, I'm on exchange in Switzerland,
originally from Adelaide (10 more weeks and i get
to see my lovely home city!!) and i'm pretty put
off about the fact that the finger are coming to
Europe (well England) and their not playing in
Swissy Land. That so sucks, heaps of people here
really love our Aussie music and the finger
especially (as their usually the only CD's i
play.) They better hit it big internationally
soon, lot's of angry people here who would love
to see em, but can't cos their in the wrong
country, not their fault.

Anthony Green - Up and Down and BAck Again truly is an inspring song
and I'm glad I'm not the only one that has realised this. "Have you
ever attempted to be yourself when everyone wants you to be someone
else". The question of the timnes isn't it.
Unfortunately I missed the Arias. Can anyone tell me what The boys
said about Bardot? I'm hanging to know.
In the signature thing at the end of the last digest, one of the 5
cd's influencing life at the moment is Powderfinger - Live at the
Enmore. Is this a CD or was it just the show? If it is a CD where
can you get it??
Enjoy your listening all.

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie and thought I'd say hi.
My name's Melanie, I'm 18 and from Caboolture, QLD (it's about half way
between Brissie and the Sunshine Coast, in case you don't know where the
heck it is). I saw Powderfinger for the first time in Nambour on October
4... I was on the barrier and came home a *tad* injured, but it was so
worth it. I think I scared JC, 'cause I was right in front of him and
staring at him in awe for about 75% of the time. (I'm a bass player. I was
just worshipping one of my bass-gods :) He probably thinks I'm an insane
stalker or something. And I just about passed out when Bernie made eye
contact with me and smiled at me. Sigh. I'm still annoying the piss out
of people with that gushing little anecdote :)
Anyways, I just blew most of my money on a Gold Coast BDO ticket. But poor
little me has nobody to go with :( So, if there's anyone out there who's
going to the BDO who wouldn't mind me hanging out with them a bit on the
day, *please* drop me a line! I'm a little weird, but not *that* annoying.
Promise!!!
I'm not sure what my favourite PF album would be. Maybe Double Allergic or
Odyssey Number Five. I've got too many favourite songs to list, so I won't
:)
Okay, I'll be off now. Cya!
