I must agree with those who have questioned the set lists from the recent
gigs...I went to the first Enmore show and, yes, it was way cool but they
missed the two best Odyssey songs - Up, Down & Back Again (this song fucking
inspires me!) and The Metre. Was sad to miss these, especially at such an
intimate venue.
Guess I'll/we'll just have to wait 'til BDO.

Subject: having a bad day
Hello Everyone:
Hello. How is everyone? I hope everyone is great. I am so jealous of
anyone who has seen Powderfinger. I live in the US. It sucks that they
aren't coming to the States anytime soon. So, all of you people who get to
see them are very lucky.
Also just to put an another sour thing to my list of already upsetting
things, my cds were stolen out of my schoolbag. Of course, you know where
this is going. Double Allergic, Internationalist, and the bonus cd were in
there. Talk about a bad day. I can buy them offline but they cost a lot
more than what I paid. Some people make me angry. Why would someone steal
my cds? I miss my Powderfinger. :(

How did silverchair win the "peoples choice" award again? Who the fuck is
(or isn't) voting?
Thought Bernie paying out Bardot was very funny, though.

Okay, I'm still trying to come to grips with this. I was in
Sanity music store the other day purchasing Parable for Wooden
Ears for a friends birthday and as i am walking out I see a stand
holding Bardot, everyone's fave chick band's new single. Out of
the corner of my eye I see the title:- My Happiness. I almost
picked up the stand and threw it in the bin. What's more, some
design elements of the cover are the same as those for PF's My
happiness. Has anyone else noticed this or was this just a
figment of my imagination.
A very depressed lad.

Well Hi All,
This is my first post.
Im a 27 year old male from Brisbane.
I have been a fan of the 'Finger' for quite some time
and recently purchased Odyssey Number Five.
Well I'm impressed - What a band, they just keep pumping
them out.
One of the songs that blows me away is 'Like a Dog'
that really rocks.
I am looking forward to seeing them play live again soon,
perhaps The Big Day Out in Bris. Are they playing there?
Steve....

Hey fellas,
Just wanted to say no-one could have expected the boys to get anything at
the awards.. I mean, they hadn't released a new album (in time) to be
nominated for anything they could have won. Look at it this way, they'll
sweep up next year! :)
I'm not in anyway a Madison Avenue fan *vomit* but it's kinda unfair to say
they shouldn't have won anything just cos you don't like them. Shite
happens? I'm just kinda sad Alex didn't get more and Augie March missed out
:(
Also what was with that Bardot comment? harsh Bernard..
glad to see JC being a rockstar shaking hands with "the people" ;p heh heh
heh...

Hey.
Well, i'm not too happy about the arias situation on
Tuesday night. It was a very unfulfilling event I must
say! It was all bloody Madison Avenue and Killing
Heidi! Sorry if there's any fans out there (you should
be ashamed of yourself!!) I'm happy though that
silverchair won the Channel V artist of the year (for
about the 2nd or 3rd year running) And Bernies little
remark about Bardot was very clever :) You show 'em
Bern!!
I just tried to log on to the Juice.net powderfinger
webchat, but it rejected me :( oh well. the rolling
stone one was better coz bernie was chatting.
Talk to ya later!

I am so dissapointed right now. After only just getting over the fact that
Powderfinger weren't coming to the best state in Australia (no prizes for
guessing Tasmania), I was very excited that powderfinger would be chatting
on juice.net, too bad this bloody computer is stuffed and i could not access
the internet for half an hour, finally i did and went to juice.net and
couldn't figure out what the heck i was doing. So as you may understand i am
one very unhappy person right now, aside from the fact that the ARIAS
weren't televised in tassie, and powderfinger didn't win anything :( I
didn't even know till the next day!!! CAN SOMEONE TELL ME ARE POWDERFINGER
EVER COMING HERE, EVER??

i just got back from pf's last australian o#5 gig... not too bad i have to
say.. the boys were excellent - bern was there as much to get drunk as to
play (so he said!)
the crowd was fairly annoying lots of rough-ness and loud guys yelling
lyrics before bern had started... but aside from that it was excellent of
course...
very funny part of magic dirt coming on during the song before passenger
(i've forgotten it!) all dressed up and sparkly in tutus.. lovely!! they
were all very happy, bern, cogs and dz were rather chatty!!
ohwell, only 3 months until i seem em at the bdo!! whoo-hooo!
:)
p.s. if you saw me in my econodog t-shirt and didn't say hi ... shame on
you!!!

Ahhhh...well after the long wait, it's come and gone. The Odyssey Number
Five tour! And what a tour it was.
I went to the show's on the 14th and the 26th at the Enmore Theatre in
Sydney. They were EXCELLENT!!!!! Where do I start, they all played
fantastically , as normal, Berns voice was in great form (with no hiccups in
the tour), they all just rocked out. Even Ian got into the dancing on the
26th *gasp*
Well, on the 14th I was in the seating area, so didn't see as many little
things as I did on the 26th, and also the 26th show was only a couple days
ago so it's fresher in my mind. So I'll stick with telling you about that
one.
Well, Big Heavy Stuff were great. I was glad they played Devils Tongue
'cause I love it, and that's the song that got me listening to them. My
friend and I were sitting in the seated section during their set, and after
half of it JC came out and sat in front of us. It was really funny because
although he was sitting right on th aisle and heaps of people walked up
towards him to go out...NO-ONE noticed! *LOL* Later Darren came out for the
last couple of songs, said hi to JC and went further over and sat down. A
girl who was sitting in the same row was walking out and noticed...my friend
and I thought it was quie funny. We didn't go up to them because they seemed
happy watching the band so we felt we should let them be :)
Magic Dirt put on a rockin show as always, and got the crowd warmed up
before the band we were all waiting fo came on....
Powderfinger!!! When the lights went out and their count down began the
crowd went nuts!!! Which probably has happened at all gigs :)
They played pretty much the same songs that they've been playing throughout
the tour. I was sad that they didn't play Nature Boy...but alas, we can't
have everything ;) It was great to see them again, and I CAN'T wait until
the BDO...which is going to ROCK!!!!
God luck to the boys as they treck over to England, and I hope they have a
great time over there, and have enjoyed the tour as much as we have :)
Seeya fellow doggies,
emily :)
