ok boys and girls i have a few questions which i would like answered.. if
anyone could e mail me that would be great.
1. Was the Mr kneebone ep before or after parables?
2. Was reap what you sow a single or what ... cos it had a film clip.
3. Was JC a single or just a popular song?
4. Did any of the first few ep's get any publicity?
ok this may seem kinda weird but i was wondering if anyone has a copy of
transfution, powderfinger or mr kneebone which they wanted to sell or they
know where i could grap myself a copy (the last part is unlikely cos i live
in tassie and it is shit>. It doesn't even look like we are getting a tour
down here now)
okelydokely...
thanx

sooooo impressed with this album i want to scream it from the rooftops and
let everyone know how great it is!!

Just a quick one to let all you junior econodogs know, if you haven't
already heard, Powderfinger are playing at RockIt again this year.
How great is it gonna be, Powdies, Shihad & GREENDAY (plus more) for only
$40. From Sept 11, you can get more info about RockIT from heatseeker.com.au
(I think that's right.
Also, a bit late now but, Powderfinger guest programmed Rage last Saturday
and they showed all (I think all) their clips.
And just to add my 2 cents, Go Clarkers!, If your under 18 live with it,
everyone else has to. Being a fan doesn't give you any special priviliges.

Greetings and salutations -
Well well well, I just found out (slow on the uptake aren't I?) that Perth
is hosting yet another Rock-It concert at Joondalup arena the day after the
Powderfinger gig at UWA. 22nd October - all ages along with 28days and a few
other bands. So there you go Perth underages - you've got what you asked
for!
Personally I'm going to kick back at the tavern on the 21st after a hard
days work to PF's lovely tunes but hope you all enjoy Rock-It.
Odessy #5 comes out soon *eep* and I'm forever indebted to JJJ for providing
us with PF entertainment day and night this week *sigh* I don't know what
I'd do without them.
Saw the Juice - scanned the cover - blew it up - stuck it on the wall.
Anyone know the line up for Big Day Out 2000?? For all those Perth ppl who
read X-press (A free weekly mag/paper talking about all the gigs/raves/music
happenings) - a photographer from X-press mag said there's a rumour round da
office that PF might play!?!?!?!??!?!!
Enough rants
Sarah
Drugs may lead to nowhere ... but at least they're the scenic route.

hey everyone,
the aria nominations got announced yesterday, and of course Powderfinger are
up for a couple:
* Record of the Year for Passenger
* Best Group for Passenger, and
* Best cover art by Kevin Williams for Passenger
lets hope they get some more to add to their nice little collection!
also, the channel V artist of the year voting thing is up on their site, so
lets make Powderfinger win this yr (it seems that my 50 votes didn't seem to
make a difference last yr). and that's at www.channelv.com.au, and there is
a link to the official aria site there.

Hey there doggies,
I've never really posted before, but the imminent arrival of my fave band is
making me VERY excited. I ran around the house screaming when i got my
tickets!
Any way, the new album, like all the others, if fan-fu#$in'-tastic, and may
faves so far are up & down & back again, and the meter. But on the whole, the
albumn is... it just rocks!
Actually i read a review of the new album in this weeks Drum (music newspaper
for you non- nsw residents) and at the end the gu actually said (quote)
"...album of the week? Album of the year more like it!" Now trhat's what i
like
to hear!

hay fellow doggies first time i have plucked up the courage to post!
must admit I cant always find time to read all these posts but i
always find time to listen to the finger.
i figure by now that 99 percent of us have the new finger cd so i
thought i might add my thoughts upon it and ask two qtns.
1/ the song "like a dog" after listening to it it seems to be about
john howard and his stance on racism and the inability to say sorry
etc does anyone agree with me? or is that bleeding obvious i do
remember at one stage finding a site that listed what most nf the
lirics meant but for the life of me!! they are great lyrics i might
add and does anyone read into the words the thoughts that maybe the
boys are frustrated with thier succes and how it affects thier
personal lives have a good look!
p.s is there a doggies t shirt so that we can all wear it to the
finger if not i could get one made!!
yours... give me the finger!

Hi fellow econodoggies, hope you are all well. Me - not so great! Woe is
me, this has been a bad day. To cut a long story short...
I have been overseas for the past 18 months, and was excited to learn from
this very digest, that the boys would be touring just after my return. I
got back too late to get tix for the first round, but was ready thismorning
to get in there and score my tix for the last shows in Melbourne, October
27th and 28th.
BUT THEY SOLD OUT IN UNDER 20 MINUTES!!!!!!!! e.g. I missed out by a mere 5
minutes, boo hoo. If anyone out there has any spare tix for any of the
Melbourne gigs, PLEASE email me at [email protected] I will do
ANYTHING (well, almost anything!) for a ticket...have a heart,
someone!!!!!!!!!! My official econodog t-shirt was waiting for its
inaugural outing......
Alternatively, if anyone knows of any competitions to win tix, please let me
know. It's worth a try!!!!
Thank you in anticipation and hope!
Emma Econodoggy

Hey!
Just thought I'd let you know what I think of the new CD. I have played it
probably 10 or 12 times since i got it Tuesday afternoon. Fave songs would
have to be Waiting For the Sun and Whatever Makes You Happy. The reworking
of These Days is also very good.
Thought the CD could have done with one or two more songs though.

TAKEN FROM AN ARTICLE BY CAMERON ADAMS
Bernard Fanning speaks out about why Odyssey Number 5 was kept under wraps
for so long.
"We don't really want the album to be downloaded on to Napster"
"It's our album, our work. We dont want to be dictated to when we will
release it by some guy from America"
Bernie on Naptser......
"There are good and bad things about it, but at the end of the day it's
stealing"
"There are enough hurdles to being a musician and making money from your
artistic endeavours and this is another one, and I don't see why it should
be encouraged."
"Imagine if 5 per cent of the people who buy CD's just went into HMV and
started shoplifting. That's what it amounts to"
"I see (the strict secrecy surround Odyssey Number 5) as a way we can arm
ourselves."
He then adds.......
"Im sure I'd probably have fewer moral scruples if I was half the age I am
now."
"I know 95 per cent of people who would download it just want to hear it
early, and they'll probably buy the CD anyway."
"That's not the issue. It's the people who think they're entitled to it for
free, that's where the problem is."
