OH GOD YES - THE PAIN!!!
I saw in X-Press (out local street press to those of you who aren't
sandgropers) that they were coming here doing promotional work - BUT IT
DIDN'T GIVE ANY DETAILS AT ALL ABOUT WHERE THEY WERE! Can you believe it?
From the amount of capital letters I've used I guess you can see that I
can't believe it. I was at the WA Screen awards & didn't realise that they
had been until I went to the photo's page to see piccys from the WASA's -
and there was Bernards beautiful face smiling out at me.
DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!

what a lovely day!
yep .. got the album today and i must say that i'm mighty impressed.. i had
been worried about being disappointed... but really how could pf possibly
disappoint???
anyway.. just wondering what ppl's favourites are.. at the moment mine are:
like a dog, whatever makes you happy, up&down and the metre..
it's also nice to note that the boys have kept up their oipic tradition with
thrilloilogy... i didn't get why they'd put an extra 'i' in there until i
heard richard kingsmill say it was their epic.. and then it finally dawned
on me..
anyway hope everyone's enjoying the album and everyone manages to get
tickets for their 2nd or 1st pf show when they go on sale!

Well I went to see Shihad last week where I bought my Powdy ticket as
well and I wasn't in the mosh or anything and some dickhead whacked my
glasses off my face and they got crushed! I was soooo pissed off, now I
have to fork out another 300 bucks on some new glasses :(((

hi again doggies!!
k the reason for this post is simple... i programmed the video
machine on saturday night to tape rage... but for some reason it
cut out after the 1st 1/2 hour of the songs powdy guest programmed!!
i personally think it was my mum who stopped it... but she denies
that she touched the video machine. hmmm maybe we have a polterguiest.
soooooooo... im wondering if some kind soul out there would be willing to
do me copy. all i really want is all the powdy clips at the end. i have
heaps of stuff to trade... specially if u r into jeff buckley. i also have
some soundgarden, and a few homebake specials and such from channel v.but
if u would prefer cash i can do that too.

Hi Fellow Doggies!
Well, like 50% of you, I too was very disappointed to realise the guys
weren't coming to my town this tour (Townsville - not that I can blame them
after the Wickid Festival Debacle....) and even worse, I'm finally getting
outa this town and back to good ol' Perth - but I miss out on the Perth gig
by 10 days!
BUT
didn't someone post a few digests ago that they've heard that PF are doing a
more extensive tour at the beginning of 2001?
And apart from that, we've got a new album coming out in 1 SLEEP!!!
So lighten up guys, all is not lost - the guys have been working hard for us
and hopefully will grace us all with their presence (including the Tassie
fans???) in the near future.
Oh, and who saw them hosting Rage on the weekend? They sure gave me a few
(scary) flashbacks, that's for sure!!
P.S. I agree with the comments about PF emphasizing Bernard's silky smooth
vocals more in the latest singles, but there's no denying that those raunchy
Parables vocals are pretty damn hot, too!!

Greetings all
I think there's been enough bitching about the whole underages thing so I'll
leave that to rest now.
I was just writing to say that the 18+ gig in Perth at UWA's tavern is
gettin' realllllly close guys - I'm so excited.
I recently got an email from another doggie about the small number of people
who take cameras to 18+ gigs. I for one, whether I look like a shmutz or not
shall be taking my camera - and for all of you who are underage and NOT
going I shall scan all the pics I take and put them on my homepage and if
you're really interested - email and I shall make copies (providing I get
reimbersed $$ wise).
Mmmm was wondering if Jaylee and all that are still circulating this mailing
list? Whats happened to you guys?
For the underages - Perth is reasonably loose with checking for ID (outside
of Northbridge that is) so go buy you're tickets then get some fake ID. You
can get fake ID from your nearest STA travel centres (one in Perth, Subiaco
and Fremantle) - it's all self explanatory and they're a legit way too)

About that all ages/over 18s debate thing, I'm glad it's probably
over now that the boys have anounced a couple of all ages shows in
sydney, melbourne...etc... but hey, even if they are over 18s only,
half the fun of the gig should be in trying to get in there illegaly
(y'know, that teen rebelion thing...) get a fake id, just buy the
ticket and try and bullshit your way in the door (lost my walled, dog
ate my id (hey, the dog thing worked for some guy at the AFL grand
final...)) but my presonal fave... SNEAK in... make a mission of it
(appropriate since powdies are on the mission impossible soundtrack...)
wear your combat/camo gear, or a discuise (perhaps some tight black
jeans and a midnight oil tshirt... be a roadie...) find a window/back
door/hole... turn up to the venue early and try and get honorary
roadie status (hey, it worked at pushover '97, carried aps for
frenzals...) I dont know... be creative...
oh, and one quick bitch before i go (not like you guys care, but
anyway...) i missed tickets to the firs round of melbourne gigs,
so i was happy to find that more ticked go on sale on friday...
but then i noticed that the gigs are in the thick of my year 12
exams... what to do, what to do... i 'spose i should take one
eddie vedder's advice and "...fuck it, get in trouble..."

Hey little doggies,
I am at uni at the moment wasting some time before I have to start typing my
essay.
Powderfinger are in town this week, as I am in Newcastle or is it next? I
don't know as I won't be going. Poor me!! That is if Paul doesn't have a
couple of freebies!! You don't do you Paul!?! Just give them to Mel she'll
pass them on!!
I've decided to save my money and go to Queensland it should be good. Then
when I come back I'll have enough money to buy the new Album. Hopefully!!!
I've been listening to it all this week on triplej and it iis pretty
awesome. I thought that I wasn't going to buy this one but, from what I've
heard it is pretty cool.
Well, that is all from me. It's been good chatting to you all. Wish me luck
with my essay and remember P's make degrees. They just help you transfer to
Communications.
