Drag - Mark's (not Darren's) Band.

Do Mark's talents have any limits? Well yes, apart from being a sound extraordinaire, and drummer in "Drag", (This page will provide more info on that subject), and a super model (yet to be discovered!) he seems pretty useless... Luckily for him he's taken full opportunities of other people's success, used it to his advantage, and in return has gained somewhat of a profile for himself.

I don't really know the full story- but I am guessing (making up) that it was around the time when Darren Middleton started REALLY believing in himself, and his musical talents- especially in the vocal area, when Drag first became an idea. (Oh it was also probably when he decided he was a sex beast- this was the same time he dropped the hippy look).

Apparently Darren seemed to of gotten sick with Bernard's vocals, song writing, great hair, and.. well- Bernard in general.. So he decided to form his own band. All he needed was some mates to play some other instruments to make him sound good. After having a chat to Mark, the 'band slut' Matt Murphey and Sean Hartman from Brissie band 'Hudson Lowboy' his dream of being front man was now a possibility.

Enter: Drag. Who knows, or cares what the name means.. If its as boring as the story of getting the name Powderfinger, its probably better to not know. Or care. But if my general knowledge on the subject of Drag is anything to go by- my theory on the name will be correct..

I believe it has a lot to do with Darren's ego. "Darren Really Admires Glamour."

Ego is not a dirty word says the 70's glamour rock band 'The Skyhooks'.

Glamour- Egos not bad- Admire- Darren.. Yes its all about Darren, and his love for himself.

Anyway, all bullshit aside..

The single 'Take me With You' has been previewed on the Triple letter stations latley (JJJ and MMM) and RAGE are showing the video clip- Late Friday nights/ Early Saturday morning- whichever you like to call it!
