Introduction
Judaism by Choice is dedicated to providing Shabbat morning learning services for those who have contemplated becoming Jewish, or who are studying Judaism for conversion, as well as those who have already converted or were born Jewish, but still feel uncomfortable or unsure of themselves at Shabbat services.
As the Director of the Miller Introduction to Judaism program at the University of Judaism (in Los Angeles), since 1987, I have taught more than 8,000 students in the Intro Program.  Many, if not most of my students begin at a place where they naturally do not understand the Hebrew or Yiddish phrases that are common at a Shabbat service.  The service and Hebrew prayers, often said too quickly.for beginners, makes the service even more challenging.

Judaism By Choice was created to provide a safe environment for those who are new to Judaism or who have already embraced Judaism, but find the need for a service where they can ask questions and learn the fundamentals of Jewish prayer and the Shabbat service in an understandable and meaningful way.

The Judaism By Choice Shabbat morning serivices generally take place twice a month on Saturday mornings.  During the "in-between" Sabbaths we would encourage those participating to attend a regular synagogue service so that they can utilize, practice, gain comfort with and master what they learn in our program, and so that they can become part of a congregation of their choosing.
