| Cathy Cole,
daughter of a coal miner in Newcastle/New South Wales
learns very quicky that the life in poverty can end soon.
And so she rushed into a romance with a collegue of his
father and married him - but suddenly her husband changes
and both have to flee. Sydney, the metropolis in the
south, became their new home but also here Cathy´s life
is running into the wrong direction. Abandoned weeks later and without any penny in her pockets she had to decide what to do to survive with her young son in this big and busy city. Cathy goes downhill during the following years and nearly gives in but while working in a gloomy pub at the Sydney Harbour she meets Colin Quinn, a young cattle farmer. She convinces him to take her with him - to seek for her husband who has become a well-known bushranger and a new life begins for Cathy..... |
