| Star Center: Wind about 2 yds (3 yds, size 30) of thread on shuttle. Do not cut from ball. Ring: 4ds, p, (2ds, p) x 3, 8 ds, p, (2ds, p) x 3, 4 ds, close ring, reverse Chain: 8 ds, reverse work Repeat for a total of 5 rings and 5 chains. Attach final chain to first ring at base. Star Points: Thread appropriate colour throufgh top right picot (5th picot) on one of the center rings. Wind about 1 1/2 yards (2yds, size 30) of thread onto shuttle. Do not cut from ball. 1st Ring: 4 ds, p (join to last picot of last ring on previous star point), (2 ds, p) x 2, 4 ds, close ring, reverse work 1st Chain: Pull thread tight against ring and picot of center of star; 5 ds, p, 5 ds, reverse work. 2nd Ring: 4 ds, join to last picot of previous ring, (2 ds, p) x 2, 4 ds, close ring, reverse work 2nd Chain: 3 ds, p, 3 ds, reverse work 3rd Ring: 4 ds, join to last picot of previous ring, (2 ds, p) x 2, 4 ds close ring, reverse work 3rd Chain: 2 ds, reverse work. 4th Ring: 4 ds, join to last picot of previous ring, (2 ds, p) x 10, 4 ds, close ring, reverse work. 4th Chain: 2 ds, reverse work 5th Ring: 4 ds, join to last picot of previous ring, (2ds, p) x 2, 4 ds, close ring, reverse work 5th Chain: 3 ds, join to picot of opposite chain, 3 ds, reverse work 6th Ring: 4 ds, join to last picot of previous ring, (2 ds, p) x 2, 4 ds, close ring, reverse work 6th Chain: 5 ds, join to picot of opposite chain, 5 ds, reverse work 7th Ring: 4 ds, join to last picot of previous ring, (2 ds, p) x 2, 4 ds close ring, reverse work.
