Congratulations to Ida Chapter winning "Chapter of the Year", "Worthy Matron of the Year", and "Secretary of the Year".

Welcome to the Order of the Eastern Star, Ida Chapter #546 web site. I hope you enjoy your visit here and learn a few things about Ida Chapter. It is a privilege for me to serve as Worthy Matron of Ida Chapter.

In general, Eastern Star is world-wide, we have members of our Order in virtually every part of the World. By virtue of the organization, women are its principal officers. This does not mean that we do not utilize men in official capacities; it simply means that the organization was formed for the mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, and widows of Master Masons.

In order to gain a clear understanding of our Order, you must be able to understand the structure of its organization. Each Eastern Star Chapter is administered by a Worthy Matron, elected from its membership. Each Chapter is governed by a Grand Chapter.

Our Grand Master is Grand Illustrious Benson Rodney, Worthy Grand Matron is Illustrious Jacqueline Burton and Worthy Grand Patron is Bro. Charles Carruthers. As you can see, our Grand Chapter has a rich and wonderful history since the beginning and continues in its efforts through brotherhood and sisterhood.

I hope that you will visit the other pages to get to know our elected Grand Officers and the appointed Grand Officers. Each Officer has a specific duty to perform within Grand Chapter, all working toward charitable goals and supporting the principals of the Order of the Eastern Star.

If you are destined to be a Eastern Star of our beautiful Order, I would extend an invitation to those of you who are not members to locate a Chapter near your city, get to know those Members, learn how to become a member and join our ranks. It truly is an experience that will be of great benefit to you, your family and friends.
