In all my photos I strive to show the subjects entire life, which at times proves to be a difficult task. My goal is to capture a look, a glimpse, a twinkle in their eye that for a moment tears down all barriers.
I try not to create the scene so much as I try to wait for the scene to create itself. I've found that if I try to create a moment, I fail. But if I allow emotion to show itself, the product is far greater than I could have hoped for.
I do so little work with these subjects. Most praise is owed to them. It is them that bare their souls on film. It is them that make the picture what it is.
My hope is that you find as much joy in viewing these photos as I had in making them.
