Inclusive Heritage Practice

During 2008, Margaret Grieco spent six weeks on Shetland and two weeks in Morar exploring the relationship between transport and heritage practice. This resulted in a paper presented to the International Conference on Sustainable Development held at the Drumossie Hotel in November 2008.

This paper can be found at http://www.geocities.com/transport_and_society/inclusiveheritage.html

Kimberley Schroeder, a student of Cornell University interning with Margaret for the summer, joined Margaret as she followed this theme through in journeys across Scotland including a visit to Orkney.

The Orkney visit included a bus trip to Skara Brae by public transport (the 8a to Skara Brae which stops at four ancient monument sites on the one trip).

Kimberley developed a photo archive which captures some of these journeys - go to www.geocities.com/travel_scotland.
