The combination of new audio-visual presentational technology with online web-based materials provides new possibilities for presenting conference addresses. Rather than merely citing sources and case materials in support of an argument being presented, live links can now be made to such materials. Our experience with such new presentational approaches has indicated the benefits of a two-person approach, one to present, the other to manage the hyperlinks. A recent example of this was the keynote presentation, Telecommunications and the speed of social bargaining: the death of power distance by Margaret Grieco (Professor of Transport and Society, Napier University) for the Standing Conference on Organisational Symbolism, 2002, Budapest, July, 2002. Go to our webpage describing the method used.
