Part 8
I have been in my palace for a while. I see everything that happens so I can decide who to kill and who to spare. I am almos ready to unhatch my plan and rip the suitors to pieces. Oh what fun that will be!!

I told Telemachus to lock the weapons away deep in the store rooms of the palace so the suitors would not be able to use them during the battle.

Once again I was insulted by Melantho who really doesn't like me. I'm getting sick and tired of this mess, and I'm afraid something bad is going to happen. Melantho has insulted me now 3 or 4 times.

Penelope made me tell her the story of where I was from, so I made another one up. It was similar to the one I told to Eumeaus. I said that I was born in Crete, and that I was the son of Deucalion. Ducalion was the son of Minos, making Minos my grand father. I said my name was Atheon, and my brother was Idomeneus, who fought bravely in the Trojan War. I said that Odysseus came to the city of Cnossos looking for Idomeneus. I told him that he had left and Odysseus became my guest. I described Odysseus to her and she believed me.

I requested that Eurycleia bathe me. When she washed me she found my scar and immediately realized that it was me. She tried to tell Penelope but with the help of Athena she was distracted. Also Penelope told me about her dream; it made me happy to know that her dream represented me annihilating the suitors.

I'm tired and now I'm worried about the final battle. I'm still trying to find out who is loyal to me and I found out who isn't loyal any more.

This morning I saw some of my maids rubbing all up on the suitors and doing certain favors for them.  I was disgusted by their actions; trust me, they will be reprimanded.  I am too anxious to kill the suitors. I must calm down or something bad is going to happen.

Penelope today asked her nurse to kill her. Fortunately I heard her and began to pray immediately to Zeus. I also asked Zeus if my journey was worth it and he hurled a thunderbolt which is a good sign from the Lord Zeus.

I was snooping around when an omen persuaded the suitors from killing my son.; That is one reason I'm anxious for the final battle. Once again I was insulted and Telemachus stood up for me and someone had the nerve to throw food at me
