Yourbot IRC Bot 4.0 (without mIRC) - Readme (text file)
----------------------------
Hi, thanks for downloading the bot. The setup
should be pretty easy, just fill in all the necessary fields in the
Configuration Wizard. If you have any problems setting the bot up,
please first re-read the Readme (the one in the bot), and follow the
instructions exactly. If you still have problems, there is now an
online tutorial available on the web site at the following address:
http://ybbot.chatcircuit.com/tutorial
You can always get in touch with me at the IRC server
irc.chatcircuit.com and in the room #ybbot. You can also e-mail me at
ybbot@chatcircuit.com.
----------------
Installation:
1. Download from the web site (http://www.mirc.com/) or copy and paste
an mIRC into the directory you unzipped the bots files to.
2. Run the mirc.exe that you placed in the bots directory. Once opened
fill in the required fields, then follow the instructions in the Readme

Whats New
---------
!nav on (!mnav, .add_item, .delete_item, .db_lookup)
-Thanks to the a good friend of mine, the|navigator, there is now a
new mode called the FAQ Center. Basically once enabled, all operators
of the bot can add questions and maintain it. This makes it easier
for you to run your channel without being bugged by the same
questions over and over. Perhaps someone joins your channel and wants
to know "What is this channel about", all you do is add the question
and answer to the FAQ and if a user wants to ask the question, they
would simply type: !faq What is this channel about? The bot would then
notice them the reply you have already set for the question.
*I modified the original script myself to fit the needs of YB-Bot
users, if you would like a unmodified version of the script, please
email the|navigator at navigator@chatcircuit.com and ask him for
an unmodified version (comments appreciated).

-Added the Op Manager, which lets you view the level, password,
and host of every bot operator. You can also delete the operators
through the Op Manager dialog.

-Added the Configuration Wizard, which makes the setup process of the
bot much easier.

-Added the game setup dialogs which let you select options for the
following games: Hot Potato, Spin The Bottle, and Trivia.

-Fixed a bug that wouldn't let you join chans that have keys on them
while using the !joinchan or .chanjoin commands.

-Redid the Auto-Start using dialogs. This time you can specify your
own method of contacting Nickserv, or choose predefined methods.

-Added an option in the Channel, Status, and Menubar popups that lets
you enable/disable all channel colors that are sent from the bot.

!colors <on/off>
- Enables/disables the colors coming from the bot through this channel
command.

-Now in the seen mode, the time since a user has been in the channel
is returned instead of the date they were last in the channel.

-Fixed a bug in the .say command that compromised a channels security.

!floodkick <on/off> <kick/voice>
-Now added an option that devoices nicknames for 60 seconds upon
flooding.

-Added a startup dialog that checks to be sure all files are loaded,
and sets up the bot for use. This fixes a lot of the bugs that
previously caused the bot to malfunction after much use.

-The !restart command now reconnects you to the server and chan you
were on when the command was used.

-Added the Command Identifier dialog, which lets you choose the bots
command identifiers (such as ! in !op, and . in .say).

-Added various design improvements (icons, logo, and such).

-Reworked the menus.

-Organized some of the scripting and aliases.

-Fixed various other bugs from previous versions of the bot.

-Updated Bot Talk addon; it can now learn from your conversation!
Available at http://ybbot.chatcircuit.com/ under the downloads page.

-There is no longer a need to register the bot. This is the last free
public release of the bot. Lord-willing, there will be a professional
version of the bot available for a reasonable fee.

-More addons for the bot are now available at:
