The St. Kitts and Nevis Fire & Rescue Services has now placed on its calendar the annual "Summer Safety Program". in their quest to ensure that all children of a Primary age level are armed with the tool of safety. The program commenced in 2002 in St. Kitts and in 2004 in Nevis. Areas to be covered includes Fire Safety, Water Safety, Traffic Safety and Disaster Preparedness & Safety. Eight Primary schools in Nevis are participating this year with the following schools benefitting to date:: St. James, Violet Nicholls, St. Johns, Gingerland, Charletown, Ivor Walters and Lynn Jeffers.
