I only know this guy in 2003 when i watch Kill Bill. I love that film and then i downloaded Pulp Fiction. i cant imagine that i watched this film after it is released for 10 years. He just love to be different, he loves to show his creativity to the audiences. And he knows how to use musics and songs to bring out the moods in his movie. Definitely one of the greatest director in our time.
Not to forget the great Hayao Miyazaki
He is the legend of Japanese animaton. It is him who brought great animations like Spirited Away and Totoro. Every animation of his is a classic by itself. Every movie is rated 5 out of 5stars. No animation of his is a flop. A truly perfect director!

I came across his books in one fine day in Orchard Kinokuniya when i was in JC year 2. To me, his works is an adult fairy tale. The usage f his words are beautiful and pictorial. And yes... good books are appreciated... therefore one of his work" Turn Left, Turn Right" and " Sound of Colours" are made into films.
Shota Sushi
It is a series of japanese comic books. Its about a boy named Shota who lived in Hokaido, His father opens a sushi stall but is always bullied by a large enterprised sushi restauant. Shota wants to help his father to carry on his sushi business, so he decided to be a trainee of a great sushi chef in Tokyo.
The story is very very touching, and this book makes me love sushi.. and i mean TRUE sushi made by japanese chef's skillful hands, not those machined-pressed rice dumpling with fillings on top.
