Here are the unit ranking for all members.
1.KING- the king is in charge of scheduling practices, meetings, events and weapon making sessions. Also keeping up the unit website and administration.
2.HIR'D- the Hir'd is in second command, on and off the battlefield. is in charge of helping inform members of new information and also helps to purchase weapon material.
3.JARL- jarls are highly ranked members, they are responsible for relaying any info to lower ranked members. They help run meetings and practices and help out new members and thralls.
4.KARL- a karl is the average member, they are normal soldiers and have no real responsiblities except to show up for practices, meetings and events.
5.THRALL- the thralls are the lowest member status in Northern Alliance, it is not a punishment or a insult. it is just the basic infantry unit for Northern Alliance. All new members start out as Thralls.
Back Home!!!!!
When there becomes more that one Hir'd in the unit they will form a special council called the         Varangian Guard. They are a the king's most elite  soldiers. They are not only his war council, but when the king is absent they are responsible for running the unit as a council. They are the best trained Vikings the unit has to offer. They are the elite!!! You have to be a Hir'd, also you must pass the level 4 test and a fight assessment.
Advancement
Advancment in Dagorhir takes dedication and responibility.
