June 7th - part two
After returning from Goree Island, Morolake, Go and Oronike walked to an internet cafe and checked their e-mail.  On the walk back, they ran into a local DJ and childhood friend of Go's, DJ Boubs.  He invited them all to be on the radio that night.  Go dropped them off at the hotel, where they rested, washed and dressed.  At around 10pm, Go came and picked them up and took them to the radio station.  They were interviewed about US and African American politics and culture.
Morolake and Oronike were very impressed by everyones' insightful questions, knowledge of foreign politics, and positive, fun energy.  They knew more about the US than Morolake and Oronike did! They all had so much fun that after the show was done, they all got in DJ Boubs car and went to a club to hear Youssou N'Dour, the internationally known Senegalese singer.  Oronike urged Morolake to take a few pictures on the sneak.  We were suprised they came out at all!
