Voter08 1 8 8 9 8 Yes The Low D brings a beauiful resonance to the song. Pitch was flawless and the song executed beautifully.

Voter08 3 5 7 5 6 Yes The pitch was off. Great attempt though.
Voter08 4 10 8 9 9 Yes Absolutely beautiful rendition. Every point earned do I smell a winner?
Voter08 5 7 7 6 7 Yes Very good Good tone pitch was good. Great attempt.
Voter09 1 7 8 6 7 No Tone is very good but it's obvious when a bent note begins.
Voter09 2 5 7 3 5 No Bent notes begin with an extremely obvious attack almost like a scoop. Pitch varies considerably.
Voter09 3 7 7 7 7 No The pitch clearly varies when bent notes are used is often flat. Attack varies noticeably as well.
Voter09 4 7 8 9 8 No Pitch is a killer for this one. Tone and attack are very good. Overall strong musicality.

Voter13 1 3 5 3 5 No Pitch: Although well played in terms of tempo and hitting the right notes I don't feel the crucial bent note was played consistanly on-pitch. In the last phrase it was clearly off-pitch.
Voter13 2 1 1 1 1 No Ouch! I'm sorry but this one was a waste of time. Won't even bother to comment more.

Voter15 1 9 7 5 7 No While the pitch was accurate the problems of all those draw notes led to the player running out of breath at points and shortening notes. The bends were obvious to me but might be overlooked by a non-musician
Voter15 2 4 5 6 5 No The bent notes were as obvious as a duck's quack but the attack and timing were pretty consistent.
Voter15 3 7 4 4 6 No While this player has excellent tone and plays the song well it fails the challenge because of the obvious slides into bends and disruptions of the melodies caused by shortness of breath.
Voter15 4 9 7 10 9 No This is about as close as you can get to meeting the challenge. On pitch and attack alone this song did it but the tone was different on the bent notes - you could tell more air was given to the unbent notes so the bent notes sound a little muted.
Voter15 5 5 5 8 6 No The player slides into and out of the bent notes very obviously but plays the tune really well in other respects.
Voter15 6 7 5 7 7 No The volume difference between bent and unbent notes was enough to cause the tune to fail the challenge. Otherwise it was very well done.
Voter15 7 6 5 7 6 No The bent notes were muted and tonally different than the others but the attack was fairly consistent.
Voter15 8 8 7 9 8 No The song is played really well. The player has a great vibrato and plays at a nice volume but both disappear on the bent notes. The bent notes are hit pretty accurately and have an even tone by themselves but differ to much from the unbent ones.
Voter16 1 8 8 7 8 Yes The low D harp is almost cheating. This tune is much more difficult on higher pitched harps.

Voter20 1 8 8 7 8 Yes Some small tempo problems in the beginning but overall good.
Voter20 2 6 5 6 5 No Sliding into the bends really hurt. The choice of key hurts in terms of artistry--rather shrill for this song.
Voter20 3 8 7 7 6 Yes Bends nice and accurate. Overall artistry hurt by tempo and rhythm problems. One inadvertant chord when breathing.
Voter20 4 9 8 9 9 Yes Nice vibrato. Some slide into the bends but not much.
Voter20 5 7 7 6 5 No Grace notes were not to be added. Tone was consistent but shrill for this song. The swooping grace notes actually hurt overall artistry.
Voter21 1 7 7 9 5 Yes Too much hand-fluttering for my taste
Voter21 2 4 6 4 5 No Problems with hitting the note straight-on. Perhaps a lower-pitch harp would have been better?
Voter21 3 7 6 7 8 Yes I like the tone! It almost sounds like a viola and the vibrato is a nice touch.

Voter23 4 6 5 6 6 No pretty good
Voter24 1 7 8 9 8 Yes I could tell but I think the average listener would not notice the bent note.
Voter24 2 3 3 6 5 No Not bad for a start but clearly does not meet the challenge.
Voter24 3 3 4 5 6 No Some intonation problems. The performance was pretty good but the bent note was noticable and not always in tune.
Voter24 4 9 9 6 8 Yes This one is very good. I am a bit undecided because the note is noticably being bent when going from the three draw to the three draw double bend. This is the only reason I counted down on consistency of attack. Nevertheless the pitch accuracy is excellent. I am giving it a meets the challenge because I think the average listener would not notice anything wrong with the bent notes.

Voter27 1 9 7 6 6 Yes hand vibrato is distracting
Voter27 2 6 4 3 5 No player needs to hit that note not drag it down
Voter27 3 7 7 6 5 Yes player got a little cute with the meter.
Voter27 4 10 9 9 10 Yes sounds like filisko. nicely done!
Voter27 5 8 6 4 7 No too much slurring going on for no gain

Voter30 1 9 7 7 7 Yes I think this one comes about as close as we'll hear but I still puzzle why more diatonic players don't just learn to play chromatic harmonicas in addition to diatonics. Norton Buffalo plays both really well. So does Paul deLay and countless others. I've finally jumped off the "strictly diatonic" bandwagon and started serious studies of both Chromatic and Bass Harmonica. The more the merrier.

Voter31 1 8 7 8 8 No The playing is excellent but the challenge is not quite met. The bent notes are recognizable as such.
Voter31 2 5 6 6 6 No Consistently flat on bent notes. Low score for tone and attack due to the uneven sound of bent notes versus unbent.
Voter31 3 7 7 6 6 No Bent notes are easily identified by strained sound.

Voter35 3 4 4 4 4 No Of the first 4 entries nos 1 and 4 are great 2 and 3 are pretty good. ALL 4 are a damned site better than I will ever be. Congrats to ALL!
Voter36 8 9 8 8 8 Yes I think the average listener would not notice the double bent note on this one.
Voter37 1 8 6 8 7 Yes A little too much fast hand tremelo. Nice though-Low D-what a stud!
Voter37 2 1 3 3 3 No a bold submission. please continue to practise. play in a few new positions to improve pitch on draw 3-the $ hole!
Voter38 7 3 4 3 5 No The bent note is obvious and rather weak--the attack is muffled and the overall tone and intonation is fuzzy. Aside from that the phrasing is a bit halting--it has the sound of a student reading through a piece they only half-know. That said I applaud the attempt to play it straight without overlaoding on vibrato. With a little more focus on flow and phrasing as well as adding some slight vibrato in spots this could develope into the best of the lot.

Voter41 3 10 10 10 9 null I think this is mine so I should be disqualified but what if it isn't? I think it's the best so far but I hear a slight misinterpretation of the melody at the start of the second
Voter41 4 10 10 9 10 Yes I heard only one flaw a slur down to the bend rather
Voter41 5 10 8 6 6 Yes Bends are recognizable.
Voter42 6 9 9 9 9 Yes
Voter42 7 9 8 9 9 Yes
Voter43 1 4 5 5 2 No Isn't an SBS an alternate tuning and thus not valid for the challange? The overuse of tremelo/vibrato essentially kills any artistic effectiveness. The notes are often dark and murky with unclear attacks and uneven pitch. The tone is consistent but not appropriate for the piece.
Voter43 2 1 1 1 2 No The tone pitch and attack were all way off. The artistry could not be judged beyond these flaws but I gave a 2 for the attempt.
Voter43 3 3 4 3 4 No Tone and attack problems were distinct and highly noticeable. There were several timing flaws and miscues as well. Once again an overuse of vibrato detracted from the piece.
Voter43 4 3 4 5 7 No Pitch tone and attack were fine except when attempting to bend--which was quite noticeably different (not in a good way). The overall artistry and feel for the piece was excellent though and if played on a harmonica where the bends were not a problem (alternate tuning chromatic) this would have been a very pleasant rendition of the tune.
Voter43 5 5 5 2 2 No While the pitch and tone were fairly consistent the attacks were rather awkward at times. The artistry was also rather unusual allmost like hearing a blues-style treatment of the tune--and not a successfull treatment. The tone wasn't particularly pleasant but consistent.
Voter43 6 4 4 5 3 No
Voter44 7 8 8 8 7 Yes Slides into three draw bend hurt scores in all categories. Some time and tempo errors around 17-19 seconds.
Voter45 1 8 5 5 6 No This person did better on the 3-draw bends than I could ever hope to do myself but the 1-draw stuck out a bit too much. Since this submitter didn't feel the need to adust that 1-draw I believe that the overall point of the challenge was missed hence my "No" vote above.
Voter46 1 10 7 6 9 No The last bend had a poor attack.
Voter47 1 6 5 8 5 Yes
Voter48 1 7 4 5 5 Yes Not bad but not great either.
Voter48 2 3 6 6 6 Yes Nice try but no cigar.
Voter48 3 7 7 8 8 Yes Really good. Really good. I mean really good.
Voter48 4 8 8 8 6 Yes Very consistent attack and tone but not much artistry IMHO.
Voter48 5 8 8 8 7 Yes Great consuistency and faster than others but maybe too fast for this piece to my taste.
Voter49 1 7 7 5 6 No The playing here is really very good. There are a few spots that the tempo slips. Sounds like a ruch to get to let out all that air! The pitch accuracy is quite good but there are "slides" to the pitch. The blow note really jumps out with the attack. I know I better practice more!
