Flowers in the attic
Haven't seen light in years.
Flowers in the attic
I never forgot them M'dear.
Flowers in the attic.
Wilted and faded.
Flowers that have lost their petals.
Crippled daffodils, and tiger lillies.
Fragrance lost to yester days.
Remember the flowers in the attic.
Remember to place them close to my chest..
To clutch once again.
To have and to hold once again.
Remember the flowers in the attic.
Remember the flowers, M'dear.
In the cornor next to the yellow lace.
Remember the flowers in the attic,
Before i remember no more.
Though, in retrospect, this poem seems very sweet. It is, in all actuality, based on a nightmare I had in the Summer of 2002. Because of this nightmare, I now sleep with my door open and stay up really late.  In other words, it scared the bejeezus outta me.
