I first saw the boiz at the Newman Center on campus. I had heard assorted, unflattering stories of the trio before and after my arrival to EKU. This coupled with my ever opressing social anxiety caused me to go my first semester of college with out really talking to these guys.
That changed at the 2000 NCSC conference in Louisville. Through whatever divine intervention that God was gracious enough to provide, I talked to them. During that week of God and fellowship, I found out that they were cool guys. I totally dug 'em.
Not wanting to lose the connections I made at NCSC, my friend Thomas and I went crack whorin' with a mission: to find where the Boiz live. Armed only with knowledge that the apartment house was white, what Matty's vehicle looked like, and a 10 block search radius. We went looking.. And as the old adage says "Look and ye shall find", we found the fabled Mexican casa. We knocked and the door was opened. They have yet to get rid of me.

AND WHY DO YOU LIKE HIM?
This boi is swift nifty. We've taken in many a movie together. I always liked his comments about various aspects of the movie. Kinda like science mystery theatre in concert.

THE BOIZ OF 8 are three Catholic boiz living in the same apartment. All of them extremley different. All of them dorks in there own right. Bound together by friendship and a need to pay the rent, they co-exist. Here is how I met them, who they are, and why I dig 'em

WHO?
Boi would be a 22 year old computer fiddler at some random place (metal stamping company?) while he still attends EKU. He enjoys movies, comps, and life. His best quality is love of God and the worst would be his ability to sleep on the couch till 3am and then go to bed.

But laughs and smiles aside, the best thing about this wonder boi is his love factor. When he talks to you, you truly feel like he listens, and more importantly, that he cares. He loves God so much that he sees God in everyone. Also, there is his sheer wide- eyed amazement. In a world where so many of us are jaded to the mystery and beuty that surrounds, here is a guy that takes a step back and says, "Dude..." I wish I could see through his eyes 'cause I know it is an amazing veiw. His prescence in my life makes me feel closer to God and a bit happier to wake up each morning.

WHO?
Boi is a 23 year old ex-navy computer guy at EKU and a student as well. His major is Elementery Ed. His favorite movie would be "Road Trip", he's a die hard UK fan, and he's such a boy when it comes to cars. The best thing about him would be his loyalty and the worst would be the whole bug thing.

AND WHY DO YOU LIKE HIM?
Ol' dude is ussually labeled an arse and then dismissed. Well ladies, I'm here to paint a different pictures. Boi is the sweetest person. Yeah, he'll tease you mercilessly, but I garuntee you that he'll be by your side through the rain and the tears. He is deffinately the first person I'll call if I go to jail. The boi is a walking depiction of true friendship. We all could take a lesson.
Ol' dude is great for his random kindness techniques. He'll bake you a cake just for because and he'll tell you that your hair looks nice. And when you try to tell him how much what he does means to you he just shrugs it off, like he couldn't be any other way. (I know he couldn't) He makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Chuck has done things for me that I never thought anyone would do. I wish i could be a friend like him.

WHO?
Ol' dude would be an ex-marine and a philosphy major at EKU. He's a computer guy at Lexmark (Do you see a trend?), an ex-wannabe priest (Thank-you Bethany) and all around cool guy. Currently He is in excile as I have not seen him in a couple of weeks (days, years, who knows?). His best quality is the phylisophical convos you can get into with him. and the worst would when he says "but what if the ----- really doesn't exist."

AND WHY DO YOU LIKE HIM?
Ol' dude is one of those types you just wanna hug. Matt is an exteremly bizarre character who makes you feel... well, bizarre. he'll say the most random things to you and they'll kinda stick with you (ie- you know what's really underrated in life. a good...) for this reason i was afraid of him when i first met him. he's a just a really cool guy that. the kinda guy that every girl should have. so go to your local mal-wart and get your own buddy Matty.

So here it is. Why i like these guys. Why i love these guys. i can deffinately say that my days in richell would be unbearable if it wasn't for my lil buddhist retreat house. Thanx Bioz!!!!!!!!!!
