| How does the Law of Attraction work? | |||||||||||||||||
| The Law of Attraction says that if you give out joy and happiness, you will attract more joy and happiness into your life. Similarly if you give out anger and rage, this is what you will attract from others. On this site, to give a simple illustration of how this might work in practice Ive used the metaphor of odd socks. So you wake up in the morning perfectly happy after a good nights sleep, leap out of bed and the first thing you want to do after an invigorating shower is find a pair of socks. Imagine the scene, nose in your sock drawer, you draw out one, then another, then another all single odd socks. Are you becoming frustrated? Remember the Law of Attraction states that this frustration will be returned to you later in your day by others! But how does it work is it a simple effect of what goes around comes around? Imagine how this might work - you finally find a matching pair by routing in the washing basket, rush down stairs feeling frustrated, and spill the cereal all over the counter this escalates your frustration. You are by this time late for work and you rush out and drive too fast down the highway unwittingly cutting up another car. The other driver is now in a rage he gets to work seething and shouts at his PA. She seethes all day and then goes home in a rage. Going home, you are driving down the highway having finally calmed down after a reasonably good day at work, when the same PA who was shouted at by her boss, the guy you cut up in the car this morning, cuts you up, sparking off all the anxiety and frustration in you, once again. All for the lack of a pair of socks! But is it this simple probably not lets look at it a bit more deeply. All the techniques that tell you how to harness the Law of Attraction would advise in some way or other for you to let go of your desire for a pair of socks. There are many ways to do this I personally use the Sedona Method. If you let go of your desire to find a pair of socks, but still have the intention of finding a pair of socks, the Law of Attraction will come in to play but why is this? It still doesnt explain how it works. Perhaps the reason why the Law of Attraction exists is a mystery and the only way you can get a handle on it is to put it into practice and prove that it is in fact a law as much as the Law of Gravity is a law. My own explanation follows and it comes from my understanding gained from using the Sedona Method the Law of Attraction works simply because if you want to find a pair of socks, you are by the same token, lacking a pair of socks, and at the same time this must mean (according to human nature) that you are resisting the fact that you need to find a pair of socks. Hence the universe will in turn resist your finding a pair of socks by same Law of Attraction which reflects back what you put out. Lester Levenson, creator of the Sedona Method said that what we resist persists resistance is like swimming through sticky treacle rather that swimming through water, when we let go we end up in flow and things the universe starts operating exactly as it should. I hope this explanation has enlightened you a little please email me on [email protected] is you have any questions, and take a look at the Sedona Method from the links below if you are interested in harnessing the Law of Attraction in your life.
