Dream::
I only remember certain parts but here goes.... me and my best friend are standing in my room. No lights are on, if that helps. She is looking in my direction and I in hers. She is deathly afraid of spiders and I look at the door behind her and believe that I see one. So I look at her and say, "don't turn around". She is scared and says, "why", but I just repeat, "whatever you do, don't turn around". So of course, she turns around. We see what we think is a spider and it runs to my closet. We are both scared because it's quite large. But then, the "spider" turns towards us and its not a spider at all, but a giant crab. We scream and the crab attacks my foot. It rips a hole in it, but I don't think it bled. Well my friend runs away and this is the last time she is in the dream. I run to the bathroom to fix my foot when there is a knock at the door. I calmly open it and its my friend Tracy who tells me to come down stairs and watch TV with her. Well I go and forget abuot my foot. When I get down there, my whole basketball team (i'm in high school) is having a party in my living room. A couple of girls are juggling(?) but most are just sitting there. I sit next to a girl I've had some problems with. Just then the news comes on and the headline story is about giant crabs and how they could "end up in your own closet". I yell that that is what happened to me but no one really pays much attention to that. Then, the girl I've been having problems with tells me that she is going to college next year. She would never share this info w/ me normally due to our rocky relationship. She is telling me her worries and such. I get scared and yell "college!" to get Tracy's attention, and then the two of them begin to talk. I run away and end up running, but suddenly I'm not in my house anymore. I am running down the hall of my former elementary school. In this school there is a big window above the gym. I stop to look through it but see my high school gym instead and my team is warming up for a game. So I run to the lockerroom but I can't find my jersey. (In my dreams I can never find my jersey, I either forget it or its lost despite that this has never happened in real life.) So I am searching when a strange person comes and finds my jersey and heals my foot. At this point, I wake up. I know it seems odd, but can you tell me what any of this means?? Thanks

Your room is an aspect of
yourself involving trust and intimacy. Although you are in the dark as to what
your friend* fears, you know it is as bad as her worst fear. She is unaware
of it, and so are you, but you know something from her past affects her. You
know it would scare her to do so, so you tell her not to look. Yet, part of
you knows it would help, so she looks. Yet, it still seems to scary to deal
with, so you let it stay hidden (closet). By doing so, her fear it will become
a bigger problem (crab), and do you harm emotionally, maybe guilt (foot/no blood).
Your friend just runs away from the problem, and you tend to leave at that.
Your friend Tracy helps you forget about your problems. A livingroom is the
social aspect of your life. You have fun, and are amused (juggling)by your teammates.
Yet, even there, there is a problem with one. You sit next to her, so are a
bit willing to work it out. Yet, you are reminded that you need to help your
best-friend deal objectively with her problems (news/crab). No one pays attention
to others problems if they are not involved/care for that person (no one pays
atention to your announcement). The girl you have problems with would like to
open up to you, but you can't deal with it. Your friend Tracy, is once again
to your rescue to help you forget your problems.
The school represents learning, seeing things from a different view (window).
By doing so, you are currently viewing from your young point of view, yet will
see a more mature way to view things. So you decide to get in the game, but
your doubts cause you to not be better prepared. Yet, you are (get the jersey),
and although you will feel strange helping your friend deal with her past, you
will heal your guilt (foot).
