(Pronounced with a long "a") Late 30s. Ka married his best friend, Mary-Ann when they finished high school and quickly had a son, Chad. They eventually divorced and Ka was astranged from Chad until very recently. Ka later became involved with Daniel, whom he was with for nearly 10 years. Their relationship fizziled when Daniel felt the need to have children.
Early 30s. Former US Postal employee, now a high school English teacher. Recently broke up with Ka over an argument about children: he wants them, Ka doesn't.
Early 50s. Owner of Arties resturant. He was formaly in a realtionship with Tony for nearly 25 years. Tony died of AIDS about six years ago. Now Ron is in a relationship with Ty, 25 years his junior.
Late 20s. Student of advertising and graphic arts. He was diagnosed with AIDS about a year ago. Now in a seriouse relationship with Ron who is 25 years his senior. Recently discovered that his late father was gay and died of AIDS.
