  1. Escape From Reason
    Down Down Down
    That's the way we're traveling
    Our social fabric unravels
    But who pulled the string
Philosophers politicians or the school teachers
Game of life and death and we're sitting on the bleachers
    What happened to our voice
    What happened to our influence
Tell me who will listen to uneducated congregants
And why should they when all we have to say is
Bumper sticker doctrine and cute catch phrases
Does this amaza us that no one will take us seriously
We talk big but then we sit in atrophy
Apathy they make comedy of our hypocrisy
    Unaware of true Biblical philosphy
So we gotta watch what we do and what they see
Cause we represent Christ plus Christianity

The underground sound here to take your mind higher
I pound the ground Burn it down like fire
We walk the long path, Still on the first half
You escape reason, we escape wrath.

God is not concerned with Gallup Poll opinion
Or if the whole human race were to disagree with Him
    Truth is what I spit
    But you ain't hearing it
    Or you ain't having it
    But it don't matter which
    'Cause God is still himself
and He could still strike us dead
Even in the pink of health
You don't think I should say that
You say you don't believe that
    Our opinion counts for zero,
    And that is simply that,
Like I'm Mojo that's how it goes that's just the
    way of things,
God is not impressed disagreeing won't change anything,
We all must beg for mercy and surely God'll show it
There's a reason for our hope you ask me how I know it
God said it and that without a doubt
"He who comes to me I will in no way cast out"

The underground sound here to take your mind higher
I pound the ground Burn it down like fire
We walk the long path, Still on the first half
You escape reason, we escape wrath.

    (bridge)

A city under siege who will you believe
champions of truth or of apostacy
    you wanna take on me
    you take on Elohim
He controls all that was is and what will be

    Song Message

The title is taken from a Francis Schaeffer book of the same
name. The first verse is directed at the church and the second
    at the unbelieving world.

The church has lost something. Partly the ability to be
relevant to our culture. By relevant I don't mean seeming
cool. People are searching and we can't guide them. They
have questions and not only do we not know the answers
most of us don't know the questions. Why? Because we
don't know God's word or how to defend it! Instead of
being diligent in our studies and learning how to answer
the questions we say "You can't know anything for sure",
"just have faith" I afree with having faither but it's faith
in Christ we need not some kind of blind leap into
    irrationality.

There are those who would like to use reason to destroy
God. There's a problem with that. Without God there
can be no supreme authority and therefore no absolutes
of any gkind. No absolute morals, no absolute knowledge
and no absolute truth! In trying to escape from God you
have instead escaped from reason and into the hands
of the very God you were running from.

  2. What It Comes To (With Toby Mac)
Every now and then I have a moment of authentication
Reveals the man inside me like illumination
    Trial by fire purification
The day I die is the day that it's done
You might not realize when it comes
And only overome it by the grace of the Son.
Just try to stand your ground take it head on
Every moment in my life comes down to this one

At a fork in the road only two ways to go
The one untraveled and the one that you know
The broad and the wrong or the tight and the right
So die in the dim or fight in the light
So it comes down to this
Jesus Christ was betrayed by a kiss
Judas when he faced his moment he failed
Imprisoned in hell with a bail of three nails

This is what it comes to

It's me against my desires and inclinations
Pass through the fire into salvation
Bring water to the thirsday like irrigation
When you go toe to toe you don't go one on one
But Christ in my place in substitution
    Showed me His grace propitiation
Heard the devil laugh and he thought he had won
But then came the comeback and resurrection

Listen everybody may I please have your attention
Only the wise will accept instruction
Fools laugh at knowledge and reject wisdom
    Inevitably leading to destruction
now it's on you it's your decision
the forecast of the future is confrontation
the beast or the king like revelation
a battle for your soul like Armageddon

    Song Message

There are certain moments and situations in life that blow
right through our facade and show us who we really are
    and what we're made of.

  3. Jury Duty
    5 am on Tuesday
why am I up so early
drive out to Santa Ana 'cause I've got jury duty
    no breakfast short tempered
and I cut my head shaving
ten miles out I hit traffic
some days just aren't worth saving

You know I haven't had the best of days
But I want to stop and thank You anyway

    At the courthouse I waited
    And waited then I waited
At lunchtime my car stalled out
    I couldn't get it started
Had a book by C.S. Lewis
I finished the last page and
Slept on my desk for three hours
Just like my high school days

Cuz every single moment whether sleeping or awake
    Is your creation
And what you've made is good
I don't always thank you for the rough days and
the hard times in my life
    Even though I should

Got home and decided I'd be in a bad mood
My shy and quiet wife said she didn't like my attitude
Got a call from my mother
    Forgot my sister's birthday
I'm a lousy older brother safe to say I've had a bad day

    Song Message

This is an actual day that I had and is a lighthearted way of expressing
a profound Christian concept. Do we only love God when the sailing is
smooth? God says to be joyful in our trials. How unnatural that is for us.
Another proof that a man didn't make it up.

  4. Lift Me Up
Lord, My God, in the morning
Show me how I can serve you today

Lord, My God, in the evening
Let my song rise up to you.

I know that you are holy,
    I know that I'm unclean
And I'm afraid to come into your presence.
    I know that I'm unworthy,
    To call upon your name
From all the way down here.

    So I say
    Lift me up
    From my lowly estate
    Lift me up
Where I can see you clothed in Majesty and Light
    (Repeat)

    (Instrumental Bridge)

If you'd saved even one man
    Surely this is undeserved
But the saints by your mercy
    Stand with you uncountable
    Is this not amazing
    Isn't your name grace
Aren't you the sovereign God of justice
    Haven't we offended
    Did we not crucify
Guess that we can only wonder why

    So I say
    Lift me up
    From my lowly estate
    Lift me up
Where I can see you clothed in Majesty and Light

  5. Return of the Revolution
There ain't no stopping us now
I'd like to say that from the outset
Not up in this business just to get what we can get
    But bet that
We gonna bring it to you loud and clear
How loud I gotta say it 'fore you people start to hear
    I can name our problems
    But I know a solution
    Bring back the revolution.
The revolution comes and we all stand as on
Rises from the darkness and shines like the sun
As the sun gets higher, our church catches fire
Down from our pride and up from the mire.
It's a dream that I've had and I hope it comes true
I forgot to say the revolution starts with you.
See wisdom and knowledge is one thing that we lack
You've been a Christian how long and you're still on Similac
So I call on Martin Luther and all the reformation back
Then the common people couldn't read God's revelation
You had to be a monk or a priest or read Latin
That was all before the revolution happened
But the fire cooled down ever since that generation
We put down the Bible and pick up the play station
And we can't defend our faith 'cause we don't even know it
We say we love His word but pick a funny way to show it.
The world walks by and we don't have a thing to say
I call 'em as I see 'em
And that's what I see today

    Chorus:
    The revolution returns
    The reformation lives on
    The great awakening is now
    Sleepers open your eyes
A war is on, our rally cry is no compromise
    No compromise, yeah, no compromise
A war is on, our battle cry is no compromise
So throw your fist up and pray the revolution rise
A war is on, our rally cry is no compromise

Our hearts have grown so cold
    And we've such numb souls
    But shirts and bumper stickers
Man we got 'em by the truckload
Is true religion what you have around your wrist
What does the scripture say of this

    They honor me with words
But their hearts are far away
I call 'em like I see 'em
And that's what I see today
So I call on John Edwards
    Who preched us all awake
We try to be emotional but here is our mistake
As a church we lack repentance and we lack true affection
Not only in our minds but our hearts need correction
And man that's true religion, resignation and contrition
To love each other so much that we'd die before division

    (Chorus)

    So what about you
    Will you join us
Will you admit that the waters around us have grown
You better start swimming or you'll sink like a stone
Do you stand with us or do we stand alone
It's time that we stand up, enlist for the war
I've tasted battle and now I want more
I've known the truth and been cut to the core
But I'm back in the game to even the score
And I mean to go out with both my guns blazing
Amazed at a God who's so truly amazing
To triumph in battle as the Spirit enables
Can't turn back the clock but we can turn the tables

    Song Message

The version of this song on the record is less than half as long as the
original version. In it's abbreviated form it's already four and a half
minutes so you're welcome for not torturing you with a nine-minute
history lesson. It would be helpful however to read about Martin
Luther, Jonathan Edwards, and the movements they headed up in
order to appreciate more fully what the point of the song is.

I hear people talk a lot about revival. There seem to be all kinds of
different formulas for it. However looking at two of the greatest
revivals in history as well as the establishment of the church the
answer seems simple. It is not the only important thing but it is the
central one. THE GOSPEL!!! Every true revival was the result of the
uncensored, unfiltered good news! Sadly we've gotten away from it
somehow and are afraid to share the real thing. So we water it down
and make it less offensive and by the time we're done making it
more palatable for the non believer It isn't the true gospel anymore.

Try this for me. Right now, out loud explain the gospel as you would
to someone who asked what it was. Just some food for thought.

  6. Wilderness
The rain falls on the righteous and the wicked
Mine is not to reason why this is
In this I rest in this I find my refuge
That my thoughts and ways are not His
I spend my life on looking up the answers
    It's rare that I can't find a reason why
But reasons fail at childrem without mothers
His plan is more than I can know

Have you ever held in doubt
What this life is all about
Have you questioned all these things taht seem
    important to us
    Do you really wanna know
Or are you a little scared
You're afraid that God is not exactly what you'd have
    Him be
What should I hold to and what should I do
How do I know if anything's true
I'm somewhere in-between Canaan and Egypt
    A place called the wilderness

I'm not one who always trusts their feelings
I don't believe in what you'd call blind faith
But faith that you can do all that you promised
And you said it all works for good
It's safe to say I don't see the big picture
I can't see the forest for the trees
    And if five hundred lives
Were mine to get to know
You all could be spent on ust this

    (bridge)

God do you really understand what it's like to be a man
Have You ever felt the weight of loving all the
    things you Hate
Have You struggled have You worried
    How can You sympathize

I have spoken much too soon put my hand over
    my mouth
    I can't contend with You
Your ways are so much higher
And we pass through the fire that Christ endured
    before us
When You were in the wilderness

    Song Message

I owe a great debt to Roger Wagner, a truly Godly man who sacrifices
of himself to come on the road and disciple us. One of his Bible studies
was about the book of Exodus where the Israelites are delivered
from Egypt by Moses and head for Canaan, the land of the promise.
To get there however, they have to pass through the wilderness, a
place of testing and hardship. In the same way we have been set free
from the place of bondage (sin) and are on our way to the land of
promise (heaven), but in the meantime we have to walk in the wilderness
where we too are tested and endure hardships, where not everything
makes sense. Some will turn back to Egypt and some will persevere.
Is God undair to expect so much from us? Let's not forget that
Christ Himself walked where we do now.

  7. Father's World
The only way I know is just to rip it
OC West Coast never comin' with a slick hit
Everything is low-fi the music makes me so high
Comin' from my heart just like I first came out of Long I
As the seconds go by allow me just to speak my
Thoughts on many topics all pertaining to the most high
As the music rocks on just let me get my rock on
The preacher gets his talk on we all get our walk on
The whole thing is just lovely so beautiful it's ugly
Gather like a rally put it down for southern Cali

    (chorus)
this is my Father's word whoa let me ne'er forget
    that though the wrong
    seems so strong
    He is the ruler yet

    The Supertones rock your world
    Supertones rock your car
We got mad plans like Hannibal or just George Peppard
    That's a reference to the A-team
the dream team with the sure shot
If you will allow us we'll break you out like Murdock
    Rockin' is my occupation
I could blow for longer than the birth of a nation
If there's ever been a question of my dedication
Tremble now before the power of my vibration

Let me keep this very simple every sould is a temple
Who gets the glory there the prince of the air
    Or maybe your career
Whom is it that you fear not fear like a gun but like the heat
    of the sun
If you fear God then you're wise keep your eyes on the prize
Learn to tell the truth from lies live with no compromise
I like the sound of that now keep yourself on track
Against the tide like Luther and we'll never take it back
In this world there will be trouble
And there will be trials but don't fibe up the struggle 'cause
    it's only for a while

    Song Message

The meaning of this song is in the chorus which is taken from
an older hymn. It is as true as it was then.

  8. Pandora's Box
    Pick your poison
    Pseudo-Christian, neo-orthodoxy, false philosophy
Triple-X pornography, LSD, PCP, self idolatry
Listen you can hear the laugh of Mephistropheles
'Cause once you start it's so very hard to cease
to say the least it's hard enough to keep it from increase
That's the box you can never close it once it's open
You can't contain what's inside once the seal is broken.

    Chorus:
Who knocked the locks off of Pandora's box
Praise apostate while they mock the orthodox

The box was opened first by Adam and Eve
Forbidden fruit tasted and planted the seed
Grew up into hatred, lust and greed
The pain of Cain and his devious deed
It permeates society circling like a vulture
The lid's flung wide and we call it our culture
That's the box you can never close it once it's open
You can't comtain what's inside once the seal is broken

    Song Message

Pandora's Box is an old fable about a box that contains all the evil in
the world which is opened by a girl named Pandora. Once opened,
there is no reversing the process of eveil being let out. How true this
is both personally and in our society. Nuclear war, for instance,
what started with one country having one bomb simply spun out of
control into enough nuclear weapens to blow up the world a dozen
times over or personally, once you start doing a certain sin which
before you didn't have a problem with, all of a sudden becomes a
gripping addiction. Fools we are for thinking we can mess around
with sin and stop anytime we want to.

    A quick glossary
    • Pseudo:Sort of; halfway
    • NEO-ORTHODOX: a movement in Christianity that uses the same words
that we do but differs from true Christianity in some very crucial ways.
    • MEPHISTOPHELES: character in Faust whos Faust sells his soul to;
      synonymous with the devil.
    • APOSTATE: In this context think that is opposed to God
    • ORTHODOX: Literally "correct worship"; in this sense, people who hold
to the true and historical teachings of the Bible and Christianity.

  9. Forward to the Future
It all went by so fast
    I'm always looking back
    On some golden day
    But nothing gold can stay
    Older yes and wiser some
I am what I have become
But am I becoming what I want to be
And as we go on with the rest of our lives,
Don't forget from where you came

    Chorus:
    Look forward to the future
    What you wanna be
    Look forward to the future
    Grace, integrity
    Look forward to the future
The things you want to do
    Look forward to the future
    Faith and honesty

    Wistful as a wish
    I sit and reminisce
    On people that I knew
And old friends that I miss
    Older, yes and wiser some
Looking at how far I've come
But is where I'm going where I want to be

    Song Message

Some of the younger listeners might not feel like it but life goes by
quickly. The uncertainty of the future could be frightening. The
Christian, however, has the comfort of knowing that we serve and all
powerful God who works all things together for good to those who love Him.

  10. Another Show
I love the way this feels
    To tell the truth real
The music hits your head and chest
And now you know the deal
Given the dream when I turned nineteen
And the last four years we've been playing to whoever
The six of us together headed out to wherever
Four years older, twenty three wiser
Still not tired of going off like geyser
We ain't everything that we're cracked up to be
Down with the king like Jay and Run DMC
Step on the stage, move the groove steadily
Keep our heads on and splurge the word readily

    Chorus:
    Another night, another show
My whole soul's fired up and ready to go
    (Repeat)

    No wait, don't turn away
    There's something I must say
    If God's not glorified
    We shouldn't be here today
'Cause if we ain't speaking Christ
    We ain't speaking nothing
    Look into my eyes and
You tell me if I'm bluffing
From here on out we're going all out light it up with no doubt
Evangelize and edify that's what we're all about
Don't know what God has in store
But that's the way we're headed
With the pedal to the floor

    Song Message

I wrote this song because I am very grateful for this ministry God has
given us. Ever since I was 11 years old my one burning, all consuming
desire was to play music. I didn't care about sports, girls, or anything
but listening to and playing music. What a great fulfillment a
dream can have when the thing it serves is greater that itself.

  11. 20/20
    I felt so introspective tonight
Thinkin' ahead about my final hindsight
Did I make every moment count
How much did I sit about
Doin' not the good I know to do

What will I say when I'm faced with His glory the saints
And the angels as I tell my story
Will the works I've accomplished be worthy of Heaven
What will I think lookin' back
What was gold what was dross
What was gain what was loss
What will stand what was fleeting
And what will I change while my hearts still beating

    20/20
So many thoughts fill up my mind
Look inside the word and I can't find
    The promise of another day
Or how much longer I will stay
No one really knows how long they have.

    Song Message

Try to imagine that you're dead. At that moment, you'd have a pretty
clear view about what really counts! Looking back at your life, what
are the things that have lasted after your life? What things do you
regret spending even a single precious moment on? Will you be glad
you got a fancy car? Will you be glad you were thin? That you had a
successful career? Or will the things that count in eternity be how
well you got to know God. How many lives you impacted and how you
treated other people. After al, hindsight is 20/20.

  12. Who Could It Be
Let me introduce you to somebody that I know
I first met Him, oh, I'd say about nine years ago
But He knew me before the day that I was born
He planned my life when the world was void of form
He chose to save my soul before earth's foundations
Reigns from heaven as we speak and rules over the nations
The one and only God-man at the Father's right hand
The height the length the depth tell me if you understand
The one and only undefeated champion
The only one who did what can't be done
The only one who can insure saint's persistence
Who swallowed up death in His infinite existence
Omnipotent infinite blood sufficient for what ails ya
Makes scores of saints sing praises like Mahalia
Vital signs were flat lined in the earth three days time then
He rose again and ascended like sunshine

    (chorus)
who could it be who could it be the person of the Trinity
between one and three J-e-s-u-s C-h-r-i-s-t

feared on every continent banned by many governments
raise your voice against Him and reveal your own
    incompetence
many people hate Him many people love Him
many far below Him but you know there's none above Him
now there is an issue where I must turn my attention
it seems that people wish to serve a Christ of their invention
true God true man otherwise you're anathema
unsaved hell bound with a hellhound after ya

Deity one in three existing from eternity
Humiliated lacerated now reigning in glory
The comeback king of all time
No matter how dark it gets the truth shines
'cause in the heart of every man lies the knowledge of Him
displayed in creation but suppressed in sin
don't believe me check out Romans one to three
still disagree you best check your Theology

    Song Message

It's a little bit of a Bible study on the person and work of Jesus.
    (Col. 1:15-17)

  13. Spend It With You
Had an old friend call me up this morning
Telling me about how he had changed
    His life's not the same
    Warning me about a place
So far away from heaven's grace
And how life is no simple game
I thought about it, laughed out loud
Only fools would dare reject it
I decided to just accept it
I thought about it and I sang this song
    Thought about the day when
I'd be singing to you all day long

    Chorus:
'Cause I wanna spend it with you
I wanna live in the service of heaven
I wanna spend it with you
    From eternity to forever

Got another call from a friend this morning
Telling me I didn't have to wait
'Til I walked through the gates
    That heaven's with me everyday
And every step along the way
    I take with me takes
I thought about it, laughed out loud
How much better could this get
    I've barely even started yet
I thought about it and I smiled so wide
now I can spend everyday walking close to Jesus' side

    Chorus:
'Cause I wanna spend it with you
I wanna wake up and say good morning
I wanna spend it with you
I wanna know in your heart that you're with me

Called up my old friend this morning
Telling him about how I had changed
My life's just not the same
    Warning him about a place
So far away from Heaven's grace
And how life is no simple game
He thought about it, he laughed out loud
Only fools would dare reject it
    He decided to accept it
He thought about it and said that he
    Only wished I didn't wait
To call him up and tell him this

    Chorus:
'Cause I wanna spend it with you
I wanna walk streets of gold together
I wanna spend it with you
    From eternity to forever
