| I've been very bad about keeping this site up. I think you can tell that it's been a couple years since I put a photo of myself up, though I have been assured that it is just a bad photo and I don't really look that old, which is exactly what friends are for. This is why I call myself a 'flat water chic'. When paddling lower sections of the river I am able to keep my camera, binoculars, pad and pen in my lap without fear. Several times on this section my little boat was over taken with waves (I don't think shoals should be taken sideways :-) filling it with up to three inches of water. Luckily I was accompanied by people who were prepared and was pumped and sponged out. (Big 'thankyou's to Peter.) Therefore I highly reccomend several items, even if it's just shoals. * Correct apparel and a change of clothes in a water tight bag, hypothermia happens (Big 'thankyou's to Jesslynn) * RadioShack waterproof cellphone case, it comes in yellow, clips to your boat and floats * A water pump or at the very least a sponge |

| There's nothing like picking your way through rocks that are hidden in the fog. Luckily there are lots of great places to stop and explore or just chill out. | ||||||||||||
