OCIC 02 Performances

This year's conference has a dynamite line-up of performances. We're still putting the list together, and everything below this line is subject to change before show time.

Friday: An Improvised Movie by the Carleton Harriers (Eight O'Clock in King, Free Admission)

Friday: The Big Show (Eleven O'Clock at the Cat in the Cream, $10 suggested donation, Free with Conference Pass)

We've put together a slammin' double bill to kick off the conference. Headlining on Friday is nothing less than an improv reunion of near historic proportions. Performing with their original line-up of Miles Stroth and Dan Bakkadahl for the first time since Miles made the big move to L.A., OCIC 2002 presents Zumph! . You do not want to miss this show.

And opening up for Zumph! will be Boy Girl Boy, a touring improv comedy company based in chicago and specializing in Gay & Lesbian themed material. Boy Girl Boy is comprised of Andy Eninger, Celeste Pechous, and James Bennett.

Saturday: Commedia Media presents "Sibling Ribaldry" (Nine O'Clock in Hales, $2 seated, $1 to stand, Free with conference pass)

One year in the making, "Sibling Ribaldry" is an ambitious collaboration between dozens of the most talented students from many different Oberlin departments. Directed by Senior Honors Candidates Peter Cairns and Peter O'Leary, this project brings together elements of cinema, modern improvisational theater, and the traditions of the Commedia Dell'Arte. This will be quite an impressive show.

Saturday: Improv Till We're Dead (Midnight at the Cat in the Cream, Free admission)

Improv Till We're Dead is an opportunity for visiting troupes and local Oberlin troupes to strut thier stuff in front of their peers. Every troupe that buys an all access pass will get half an hour of performance time, and then we invite the professionals onstage and jam all night. Last year this was the most fun part of the conference.
