He is tall and muscular, with dark hair and piercing gray eyes. He can be found wearing anything comfortable, though on "special" occasions he wears nice outfits. Background: The son of two dragonriders, R'mal was fostered out to the Headwoman of Ista. He usually led the other Weyrbrats into everything, from pranking the dragonriders to stealing food from under the cooks' eyes. He became a candidate when he reached the age of sixteen, and promptly Impressed the first dragon out of his shell...Bronze Mordreth. A quick learner, he was at the head of his Weyrling class and was usually looked towards when there was any need for a leader. When he graduated from Weyrling training, he was given wingsecond position. After a couple of years in a wing he became a the Weyrling master 2nd, then a few years later went back to a wing. When R'mal was about 22 turns, Mordreth flew the Senior Queen, making him Weyrleader, a duty he didn't shrink down from. When Mordreth rose to chase Gold Amilith, R'mal was surprised, but didn't object. If anything, he encouraged the bronze dragon to do his very best. That was the beginning of the tension that ended in R'mal and Dru, along with several other dragonriders, leaving for the new weyr. When he found out that Dru was going to have a child, and it was his, he did what he thought was best for everyone: the weyr, the Werywoman, Dru, and himself. He left for Oceanside. Personality: Like any bronzerider, R'mal as a roving eye for women. However, once he does settle down, he's more loyal than most men. He's a great leader, and most of the time people look to him when they need help with something. He's not afraid to give his opinion of something, and is also willing to listen to other people's. However, he's proud, and when he feels he's been wronged it's hard to gain his respect back. Dragon: Name: Mordreth Color: Bronze Age: 10 Appearence: Mordreth is a very deep, shiny bronze. His hide is almost always glowing, and seems to shine even more brilliantly in the sunlight. The sides and top of his hide is a golden bronze, and the underside a bit darker. He's of perfect proportion, and is easily one of the largest bronzes on Pern. His experience has turned him into an excellent flyer, and it's no surprise that he has flown more than one queen dragon and before them several greens. Personality: Being the first to Hatch from his Clutch, and later the Weyrleader's dragon, Mordreth is used to leading the other dragons and will likely always take the lead when there's any need for it. He listens to what everyone has to say, but isn't afraid to correct someone when they're in the wrong. Mordreth is a dragon who is loyal to the one he's mated with, and loyal to his rider's weyrmate. He's calm at most times and likes to think through the facts before jumping into things. He is protective of all dragons under his 'wing', and would go to any means to ensure their safety and protection. Mordreth is easy to get along with and always has a sunny remark or complement for everyone. Every now and then he will bespeak his rider's weyrmate, just to say 'hi' and 'good day', thinking it a courteous thing to do. |
